Pomegranate
intrepid in manhatten or for younger kids krazy city in palisades
This whole chol hamoed meshugaas involves an enourmous bitul torah. The yeshivos close down and send the yinglach home for 2 weeks rather than 8 days and no learning goes on. Instead, all the kids and their rabbonim run off to the goiyeshe amusement parks with all the inappropriate stuff that goes on. When they get back to school, it takes them a week before they get back to serious lamdus. What a chilul hashem.
I heard the Tennesse Petting Zoo is supposed to be Absolutely Amazing!! For Adults and Kids!
ikea is one of the most popular chol hamoed destinations. the store has a very consumer friendly attitude, as in everyone can just walk around and sit on all of the couches, and they even have a free day care center with ball pit

Here’s a great FREE outing: Croton Gorge Park is really nice. Dam with waterfalls. A short hike through trees from parking lot/fall viewing area up to the bridge at the top of the dam, where there is a beautiful view of the Hudson River. About 45 min – 1 hour from Monsey. I think not too much more from Brooklyn. Had a great time with my family there last year.
The Intrepid, Liberty Science center, Bronx zoo and many others offer membership family passes that can save you money and give you access for a full year. You can use your membership in the summer and on Succos. Many memberships have reciprocal agreements that allow you to visit other places all year for free.
Turtle back zoo is a nice zoo. I don’t know if its open, but last year we went and had a great time.

Try walking across the brooklyn bridge , its a must experience for every N.Y.er, especially on a nice sunny day the views of Brooklyn and Manhatten are amazing. Then continue to China Town, wher you get transformed to another country, with all the cute little suvenior shops and peddlers trying to sell you a bunch of knock off products. I do this every year with my kids, its a great way to spend some quality time with your kids and all for free.
Go out like a mensch with the kids today, we have some beautfiul parks that are FREE, just bring some nosh and let the kids run and play! We might go to the Central Park Zoo, not sure how much it costs, does anybody know? Another idea is to see what friends may have memberships and they could bring you as their guest today! I am very thankful that the weather is nice today, Baruch Hashem!!
Where can I go with the kids fro free in brooklyn?
What’s wrong with enjoying your family at a park for free or just have the kids get together with friends? Why must Chol Hamoed cost you hundreds of dollars?
I dont want my kids to feel nebish, Where could I take them to a place that does not cost money?
learn with your kids , you will be happy and they will be happy, no meter wich park or fun place you go by the end of the day your kids are full of tears because the more you give the more they need, so i think that the shul is the best place, chaza”l tells us LOI NITNA MOADIM LEYISROEL ALO LASOIK BOTORAH
