Israel - Rioting erupted this afternoon outside the Grodno Yeshiva of Ashdod as a result of a legal dispute between the Grodno and Ponovezh yeshivas regarding the ownership of land currently occupied by the Grodno yeshiva. During the afternoon, a representative of the Ponovezh yeshiva came to Grodno’s building in Ashdod in attempt to execute an alleged court order to evict the Grodno Yeshiva from the building.

The Ponovezh representative, accompanied by 30 security guards, refused to show Grodno officials the court order, and as a result violence erupted on the scene between Yeshiva students and the security guards. Police and the Yasam unit were called up to quell the riot, which resulted in a few Yeshiva students being hurt.

After Ashdod Police chief came to the scene and demanded to see the court order, it was discovered that Ponovezh’s representative did not have the alleged court order. Consequently the representative was called up to Ashdod’s police station for investigation. The representative was later released.

The whole deal is shameful, one yeshiva v. another, students rioting against each other. Very sad state of affairs. So, Ponovezh is trying to force another yeshiva out of the building to expand their own Torah learning business, but it does it with lies and no court orders at all? I'm sure many parents are proud to send their boys to an "honest" yeshiva like this.

I wish the various Yeshivas and Mosdos would create a riot league. Each place riots against each other, and whoever wins....well, they win. We could even do tiered leagues. If normal sports aren't allowed because its bittul torah or too goyish. then at least compete in something that you seem to excel at. You could sell cholent and kishke at the games and maybe some sushi. I definitely see some potential for money here......

Now which Ponevez [there are two, who share the same building Bais Hamedrah , Dorm & dinning room, but Bochurim from the rival Yeshiva may not speak or learn with each other] sent the chevra?

Don't celebrate.
Is there a big difference between Chasidim not working and rioting or Litvish not working and rioting? Both don't serve in IDF and both love kolel system. The only difference is that Chasidim yeshivas produce students with worse overall language, math and science skills. Chasidim also have better tactical experiences at rioting.

Now we'll have the NRL( National Riot League) You'll be the CEO and i'll be the commissioner. The team that wins at the end of the season by acting the most violent will get a year supply of "heavy duty diapers" perfect for throwing at a full load, courtesy of pampers.

And that is a chiddush? When we treat secular studies as a necessary evil and we teach smart young men & women that college is evil. Yiddishkeit does not need to be abandoned for a higher education. There are many of us who are shomer Torah Mitzvah and who have college and grduate degrees. What we need to do is teach our young men & women skills to earn a living. Rather than reyling on parents, grandparents and handouts.

Can you explain to me why it is that there are over three and a half times as many "orthodox" jews in US prisons than non orthodox Jews, adjusted for population?
I actually spent the time to do the research.
I love how you exaggerate the facts on both sides..."the rabbunim are all ehrlich, but the judges are all thieves".
there are many hundreds of times the numbers of non religious judges in america as there are dayanim, and the amount of judges that are involved in criminal activity is much lower than you think.

Rachmona Litzlon, your anti semitism and hatred towards Rabbonim. I would vouch thousands that somehow you or someone close to you lost a din torah and you feel you were in the right. Thats how the cookie crumbles buster. I went through a lenghty and very costly din torah and lost miserably, where the other side was a known gonif who had ripped off many before and after me. However, I am certain having dealt with the secular legal system as well that the Rabbonim are still far better by and large.

You are full of it. No one has made such a statistic and it can't be researched about frum and non frum in jail because the non frum secular so called jews have american names, that can't be traced to jews. Rash statements three and half times as many as adjusted, means gobbledegook. Stam Slander on yidden. I say there are 87.3% of secular jews in jail as adusted and I did the research.

I truly feel bad that you lost your din torah. But its still no reason to bad mouth and hate most Rabonnim who sit by din toras. I hope you win the next one (If you're honest and you are in the right)

Wow. number 50 is really hot under the collar. You should take a little something to cool it. Such vitriolic hatred towards frum bais din. Using the same brush for all, while whitewashing the secular garbage. Still using a maamar chazal to justify his rants and ravings. Boy I wouldn't want to start up with him.

I love the researched statistics. Oh I forgot to mention that the Israelis are the aggressors because for every jew that the Palestinians killed there are 276 Palestinians that were killed by the Israels. and when adjusted for population, its shocking what the Israelis have nebach done to the Palestinean innocent women and children. I did my research by the same place that number 50 did his. Sounds very impressive. Almost like President Obamas statistics on the healthcare reform package.

What is the name of this Jewish mother "Anastasia Jancu". Nu, you chochom did you include her in your jewish or gentile statistics when you bad mouthed the jewish population.

There is simply NO way to know in the non frum population who is or is not jewish simply by their names. Closed case. We fully accept your apology in the name of judism.
