“I am deeply committed to fulfilling the important role the United States must play for peace to be realized, but I also recognize that in order for any agreement to endure, peace cannot be imposed from the outside,” Obama wrote Alan Solow, chairman of the Conference of Presidents of Major Jewish American Organizations (letter below). “It must be negotiated directly by the leaders who are required to make the hard choices and compromises that take on history.”

“We are determined to help them, particularly because the status quo does not serve the interests of Israel, the Palestinians, or the United States,” it continued.

Obama’s April 20th letter came as the Wall Street Journal reported that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had returned a decision to the United States last weekend on requests the U.S. had made on confidence building steps Israel could take to advance Israeli-Palestinian peace negotiations, (as reported this morning on VIN News). The Journal reported that Netanyahu had refused to stop building in East Jerusalem, but had proposed other confidence building steps.

Last night, National Security Advisor Jim Jones addressed the 25th anniversary of the pro-Israel think tank the Washington Institute for Near East Policy, where he said while peace cannot be imposed from the outside, the status quo is not sustainable. U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice addressed the 25th anniversary of the Arab American Institute last night as well, reiterating Obama’s commitment to achieve a two state solution.

We Americans have not seen any demands or pressure by the White House on any Arab country, Palestinians, Hamas, Hezbullah, Lebanon or Syria. Where’s the American President that was once for peace?

Peace will eventually indeed be imposed from the outside – by Moshiach Tzidkeinu, bimheirah biyameinu.

He is a serrial LIAR. Add this to the pile. I read the papers I see the one sided imposed pressure on Israel and the free pass to the Muslim (Arabs).

He needs to go…as do his Democrat bussies. Yet, the liberal Jewish majority is so blinded by this neo-socialist!!!

the Decree of Exile for the Jewish People is so serious that even if the Jewish People were to terminate the Exile from the Holy land ONE DAY before the willing of G-D, the entire People would be in great danger by virtue of having violated the prohibition of ending the Exile. Kesuboth 111.

This is Obama. He thinks the written or spoken words make any difference. Actions! Stop pushing Israel with your pro-Muslim one-sidededness. Stop selling every Muslim enemy of Israel the sophisticated weaponry while denying Israel’s purchases. Stop demanding “gestures” from Israel while allowing the terror regimes of the world to continue their threats and murder.

Obama – we don’t trust you at all. Most everyone I know who voted for you is regretting it. You have thrown Israel under the bus. You have mortgaged good ole USA beyond the hilt. Our future generations will never get out from under the deficit you made for them. Yes, reforms are needed, but you are looking for the Marx model. The only good Marxists are those who follow Groucho. Your beliefs and values are not good for America, and you have taken to crush Israel to show us what you can do to the rest of your innocent citizens.

Remember in November. No more Obama. No more lying Democrats.

How is a particular organization selected to be addressed as representative of Jews in America? Why the CoPoMAJO and not, say, the AJC or Aguda or any of a myriad of such entities?

Rudi Guiliani for President. When will all you liberal, socialist democratic Yidden wake up & see what is happening. Big government, free hand outs and welfare is not the answer. Getting a job, earning a parnassah & realizing that in order to get anywhere you must be willing to roll up your sleeves, get your hands dirty and make it happen. Stop waiting for something for nothing. There is no free lunch in life, even if thats what the Democrats and your Rosh Yesheiva tell you.

You are all right. Shumer should get the title senator pothole, the title given to damato. He is busy with inconsequential nonsense. Obama is running the country like a dictator of a regime. He has no business experience and yet he acts or talks like an expert. The man should be a rapper. He has a glib mouth.

Alan Solow is an old friend of President Obama’s from Chicago. Solow is now Chairman of the Conference of Presidents. The letter was written as a follow-up to a personal meeting Solow had with the President at the White House.
In recent days, there has been a change in tone at the WH as it moves away from the idea of an imposed peace agreement.
Schumer is just jumping on the band wagon, after it has left the station.
