According to a report by Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth, Indian representatives had asked Israel authorities how to get in touch with Shimon Rosenberg, Moishie’s grandfather and guardian, for the purpose of giving Moishie a monthly stipend and any other assistance necessary.
Moishie is already receiving a stipend from Israel as a victim of a terror attack, but the Israeli legal system decided there was no reason why he shouldn’t receive another stipend from India.
The Indian offer has ramifications for the families of Benzion Chruman, Aryeh Leibush Teitelbaum, and Yocheved Orpaz – the other 3 Israelis killed in the terrorist attack – and possibly Norma Rabinowitz, a Mexico Jewess who planned to make aliya after her visit in India, who was also murdered in the attack.
Rav Rosenberg was surprised at the Indian offer, and pleased that “they were taking responsibility.” Rav Rosenberg had written to President Shimon Peres and Interior Minister Eli Yishai asking them to give citizenship to Sandra Samuel, Moishie’s Indian governess, who has been caring for Moishie in his grandfather’s home in Afula since the attack.
Gevaldig, very happy to hear this news. Now there will be a bunch of Lubovitchers who will want to be Moshel’as Guardians…
‘Indian stipend’ translates to ‘a couple of Rupees’. Don’t get too excited.
why oh why do people always have to say something bad about everything?? Get some help on how to live a more optomistic life. Learn to be happy for others,in this case poor Moishele.
unfortunately all the money in the world will not ever bring his parents back to life!!!!this poor sweet innocent child lost the most important thing in the world!!!
In recent news the Indian government released an official statement that all victims of the recent terror attacks will receive “stipend of dozens of Rupies to spend freely in the markets of Bangalore or to exchange into any currency they so desire”.
my heart still aches for that pure kid. That kid is B”H fortunate in one thing that he has such loving and caring grandparents from both sides. May H-shem give the grandparents all that they need to make sure Moishele has a happy and secure upbringing.
# 1, Others voiced their opinion on your misguided statement so there’s no need for me to pile on. Just do yourself a favor and retract your heartless and jaded views.
