Turkey - The Jewish community in Turkey announced they received with regret the Israeli attack against Mavi Marmara and said they back the protests in Turkey.

The Chief Rabbi of the Jewish Community in Turkey made a statement, saying tehy have received with sadness the military intervention against the Mavi Marmara vessel.

The statement said “We share the reaction in our country against this kind of final of the initiative and express our sadness to the public.”

Meanwhile Acting Prime Minister Bulent Arinc of Turkey said on Monday that there was no hostility against Jewish citizens living in Turkey.

Arinc held a press conference in Ankara and said that a threat against Jewish citizens never took place in Turkey and 70 million Turkish people did not have hostility against Jewish citizens.

“I believe that the people who gathered in front of embassy (of Israel) in Ankara and Istanbul aimed to express their deep sorrow (over Israel’s attack on ships carrying humanitarian aid to Gaza). They will not make any harm,” he said.

Arinc said, “all we know that Israel has used disproportionate force in Palestine and Gaza and other regions from time to time. Innocent people, women, children and families suffered. Turkish people were always beside innocent people.”

Replying to a question, Arinc said three joint exercises earlier planned to be performed with Israel were cancelled.

This way was already used by our sage Yakov Uviny when he encountered the hatred of Iesuv Hurusha. And since then jews thru out history had the same "ghetto mentality"... Acutely this is the Toirah way.
It only ended for the majority of jews (zionists) when the new meaning of a jew popped up from the secular jews in Germany.
And we all know how it ended

These "whiney wimpy Jews" are doing what is right according to the Torah.
Yakov Avinu was also a "whiney wimpy Jew" and the Tora Tells us
"Maasei Avos Simon Labonim". When Eisav was approaching Yakov,
Yakov behaved subservient.
Hashem should protect the Jews in Turkey, all over the Galus, including
in Eretz Yisroel.

I have been there - they are a few Jews surrounded by millons of Muslims. The main shul has already been attacked twice with fatalities. You are very brave - go there and see their kiddush hashem and mesiras nefesh.

Dancing mah yofis is NOT the Toirah way. It's a chilul haShem. Unfortunately sometimes there's no choice; you have to say what the goy tells you to, and hope that the whole world realises what you really mean. This Chief Rabbi is like a hostage with a gun pointed at his head, and reading a script; he is not responsible for the lies he tells, and you know that he means the exact opposite.

Yes, in their hearts they should be dancing, and I hope they are. These are not "their countrymen"; they are vicious antisemites, and a Jew's first loyalty must be to Am Yisroel. But in public they have to say what they need to in order not to be killed.

No, there can not be. Not about this. A Jew who supports Hamas is a traitor. But a hostage is not responsible for what he says; the Jewish leaders of Germany said the same things in the '30s, for the same reason: they had no choice.

Yes it is the reason why the SECULAR with there nice hairdoos and suits thought the germans would like them better so they tryed to blend in with goyim by looking and acting like them to the point were u couldn't tell who was and who wasn't jewish. what is your point I do not understand many jews become non religious not because they want to fit in. They become non religious because they think the whole religion is just made up and the Torah was written by people and none of the things that it says really happened.

I am not seeing weapons, am I missing something?
I see tools, building materials, piping, gas masks and safety flares (which are safety items in a country without power), kaffiyas (clothing) and knives. Knives are necessary tools, not really weapons.
I expected to see guns and ammunition from the posting. Were any guns other than those that were the personal possessions of the crew found on the ship? (All maritime officers throughout the world carry guns, that does not make it a munitions flotilla).
From this clip it appears as though the ship was carrying exactly what it was supposed to be. Building materials (Many Gaza families are homeless) to repair homes, clothing, medical and safety supplies, tools, and food

You're an idiot and you're not a member of the Turkish community. Crawl back into your hole in Boro Park. You talk a good game now, but if you ever had to face what these people probably have to deal with every day you're anti-tzionyni self would probably be on the first plane to Tel Aviv.

Daggers and machetes are not 'necessary tools' and neither are clubs and mismatched poles. They're weapons.

If you really think people in Gaza want some second hand machetes/knives/poles for their 'humanitarian needs', I have a bridge to sell you in Brooklyn.
