    But the plaintiffs say the four men who convened as a Zoning Board to hear their case in April were also identified as members of the village’s Planning Board — in violation of a federal court order prohibiting Kiryas Joel residents from serving on multiple municipal boards.

    The lawsuit was brought by a dissident group that was evicted from its synagogue in December after a long-running court battle with the dominant congregation in the Satmar Hasidic community.

    According to court papers, the group, known as Bais Yoel Ohel Feige, applied in February to argue why it should be allowed back in its synagogue.

    why do they believe that the state judge will change the zoning for them when they don’t have any parking for the new beth medrish. I was involved with the exact same situation in monsey and they did not give a permit for a shul because they only had two parking spaces desicnated to the shul

    This time the Satmar may have dug their own grave….the law is very clear on this issue on serving on multiple boards and there is a long history to this matter. the ehrlich and long suffering yiddin who davened in the beis yoel shul will be home soon…the rebbitzen (in whose namesake the shul is named) is smiling today.

    We will be more then Happy if we ship them all with a one flight ticked to Jenine or Ramalh to the Palestine authority, they are the same trouble makers like the N’K in Israel…..
