U.S. Fish and Wildlife officers pilot their boats by rigs and other structures to make the birds fly away. If the birds don't fly they are likely to be covered with oil and have trouble flying. But even if visibly covered with oil and the birds still fly away then the officers will still let the birds go because of the difficulty to catch them. Here pelicans fly from an oil rigging near the South Pass of the Mississippi River with the Gulf of Mexico Monday May 31, 2010.Washington - Attorney General Eric Holder says federal authorities have opened criminal and civil investigations into the Deepwater Horizon explosion and oil spill.
Holder would not specify Tuesday which companies or individuals might be the targets of the probe. He says federal clean air and pollution laws give him the power to open the investigations.
Holder met with attorneys general from Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama on Tuesday.

Eric, why don't you at least LOOK at some of the theories that sabotage, possibly by North Korea that a Russian Intelligence Report(not a conspiracy blog), reported?
But, knowing Eric, the guy who doesn't read Arizona Immigration Laws that he condemns, he will probably investigate Nuns in a Parish for bombing the rig.

Typical. Republicans seek to fix problems, Democrats seek to affix blame. As long as you can point a finger at someone, it's OK even if the problem never gets fixed. My favorite is the Hillary headed investigation into into "Why did the world trade centers collapse?" What exactly would you expect when a 187,000 pound plane with 56,000 lbs of fuel hits a building at a 400 mph? The building was built to withstand an accidental Jet incursion. That would be a plane arriving at its final destinantion with partially or mostly empty fuel tanks, going under 200 knots over a populated area accidentally clipping the building. Notwithstanding it actually did that quite well. Like most other buildings, it was not designed to withstand an intentional hit by a 187,000 lb missle.
