Woodridge, NY – Firefighters are battling a fire at Woodridge Pizza & Cafe on Broadway, emergency reports indicate.

Firefighters from multiple departments and Catskills Hatzolah are all on the scene at 9 Broadway for the 3-Alarm fire at Fellers Pizza store.
Units on the scene are reporting that a collapse zone has been set up at this time after top floor has collapsed in. According to Times Herald Record Five firefighters were injured battling the blaze, said Sullivan County Deputy Fire Coordinator Bill Lothrop, with most suffering smoke inhalation.

What can u say? The Fellers are such nice ppl, as everyone knows. The summer store-owners wait a whole year for these 10 weeks. As a prewvious poster said, hope he can get it back up & running, at least partially,pretty quickly, for the rest of the season.

I just purchased a large order early this afternoon. The service and food were great. May the Feller’s have the strength to rebuild and continue being there for us all in Woodridge. A super nice guy deserves all the support he can get.

this what happens when you dont follow the fire code
the building want zoned to which has heavy duty ovens you need a building made out of fire retarded material.if you put an oven like that in a bungalow any over use can cause it to explode

3 years ago in agudah there was a fire that destroyed the entire dining hall… everyone thought camp wouldn’t open however they ordered tents and no one knew the difference ..he can put his pizza shop in a tent and go on …he can call meir frischman i am sure he would happily assist him with all the details..
All the well wishers are surely appreciated . . . but lets see his “friends” put together 10k so he can open another place asap.

any time there is a fire upstate the building will burn to the ground the fire dep. Here is as good a u are. They r no FDNY. Even hillcrest FD when they respond u ca expect a ttl collapse. That’s y there is KJ FD and in NQ FD real volunteers with a heart and soul.. South fallsburg, woodbourne all the same. Till they come and unpack it all over. This might have bin a small fire that could of bin put out if KJ or fdny were around, don’t blame shargi or any one else u can be sure from when the call came in till the water flowed was almost 30 min..

So many know-it+alls who know nothing. The building was a bakery for fifty+ years before it became a pizza shop. It is down the block and across the street from the Kaminetz Yeshiva building, if that is still standing.
I feel so bad for my Friend M29 who had the best pizza store upstate. I wish him the best of luck and not to give up hope.

The Sullivan County Fire Deparments in the different villages remind me of the Flinstones TV show during the 60s. THese beer guzzling overweight volunteers dont know which end of the hose to spray. As a vacationeer in the mountains for 23 years, I have seen these clowns in action several times already. They are pathetic and from the stone age.
