New City, NY - A synagogue that was undergoing repairs after it was destroyed by fire a year ago was vandalized by someone who broke in overnight and damaged the sanctuary.
“It’s adding insult to injury,” said Herb Boxer, president of the West Clarkstown Jewish Center. “This is horrible — I don’t know how else to put it.”
Pieces of Jerusalem stone, a type of limestone common in Israel, that the congregation had hoped to use to decorate the ark holding the Torah, were glued to the walls as well, Boxer said.
A vandal also defecated on the synagogue floor.

If this is the second time it is possible to bring in the FBI, apparant hate crime. There is no need to worry about the locals.

Whenever I pass by I see the doors wide open and not locked so it doesn't take much for vandals to do their job.
