Albany, NY - Governor Paterson: I Back Rangel 100% |
|
Albany, NY - Gov. David Paterson says he backs Rep. Charles Rangel 100% as the fellow Democrat faces an ethics case in the House.
Paterson says it’s been an honor to watch Rangel in public service over the last 40 years.
Both come from a political powerhouse of Democratic politics in Harlem. Rangel, until recently the House Ways and Means Committee chairman, defended Paterson when he faced his own investigations. Paterson’s role in a domestic violence case involving 1 of his aides who wasn’t charged with a crime remains under investigation.
On Monday Paterson said Rangel served Harlem and America well.
Rangel is accused of violating House ethics rules for use of congressional stationery to raise money for a university center bearing his name.

An a thief too, people are in Jail for the tax laws he passed, while he himself is not paying his share of taxes and running free. America is turning into an animal farm, where laws only apply to us and they never even feel the sting.

This sounds like Paterson. I'm glad he is not a stock broker - investing in the losers while they are going down. We need honest people in our elected offices. Can't wait for both to leave.

You might have forgotten his failure to report rental income, failing to report foreign real estate, occupying several rent stabilized apartments including one he used as his district office. This is not about stationery.
