Washington – Republicans Offer Israel Green Light to Bomb Iran

Texas Republican Congressman Louie Gohmert introduced this week House Resolution 1553Washington – Texas Republican Congressman Louie Gohmert introduced this week House Resolution 1553 which supports the right of Israel to “use all means necessary to confront and eliminate nuclear threats posed by the Islamic Republic of Iran…” The resolution is co-sponsored by 46 Congressmen, all Republicans. The resolution was referred to the House Committee on Foreign Affairs and will probably not be brought before the full House as long as the Democrats control that legislative body.

    Intent of H. Res. 1553:

Resolutions are not acts of Congress. Rather, they express the sentiment of Congress. H. Res. 1553 asserts in the preamble the right of Israel to use whatever force is necessary to repel any threats from Iran, including military force. The tone of the preamble does not preclude a unilateral, preemptive strike by Israel.

Clause one of the resolution links the United States and Israel, condemning Iran “for its continued support of international terrorism, and for its incitement of genocide of the Israeli people…” It should be noted that the recently publicized documents on the war in Afghanistan, posted on the internet by Wikileaks on July 25, 2010, corroborate the charge of Iranian support of terrorism.

At least one of the leaks publicized by media sources notes that heat-seeking missiles used to bring down coalition helicopters originated in Iran. If more such connections are made as analysts sift through the voluminous material, H. Res. 1553 may become more appealing.

Can you believe that they wouldn’t bring the resolution to the house because
“the Democrats control that legislative body” and they woudn’t pass it???

Unbelievable!!! In essence, by not passing that resolution, they’re saying Israel has NO RIGHT TO DEFEND HERSELF!!! And this is the AMERICAN congress… But they’re DEMOCRATS so that’s what you have from the DEMS!!!

While this is nice support, it would be even nicer if Israel could get help from the USA in carrying this out, rather than having to shoulder the entire burden herself.

Ok let’s say it passes, what will happen next. Every country is scared now from Iran, nothing is really going to happen just bla bla bla. We’re suppose to be mispollel that Hashem brings a huge earthquake, tornado or volcano to iran and wipes out all these jew haters. There is nothing more we can do to it.

Politicians politicize at Israel’s expense, both for the good and the bad. In the end, Israel will take unilateral action if it deems Iran to be an immediate existential threat, with or without the world’s backing.

Gohmert is an idiot so this resolution should be taken with a grain of salt. If a U.S. congressman thinks that starting WWW III by bombing Iran is a good idea for EY, than perhaps he should move his own mishpacha to ground zero.
