More than 30 of its stores will be part of a “Fine Foods from Israel” campaign in December to coincide with the holidays. The program is being launched in conjunction with the Israel Export Institute. Designed to introduce many new Israeli products to the American market, the promotion will feature a special section in each store displaying the “Fine Foods from Israel”.

let me advise the izzys on this blog that many times the importers will block the “D” from a USA produced dairy item that is brought into the country. my sister lives in a major frum area and saw this on salad dressing. she told a consumer whom she KNEW was going coat her chicken with it that the D was DAIRY and NOT Cholev Yisroel which shocked her.
As a resident of Yerushalayim, let me advise readers who may be buying Israeli foods from ShopRite during this promotion or at any other time, that you have to examine the hechsherim of Israeli products with great care to ensure they meet the standards you want.
I wish that more Shop-Rites would open. I love the supermarket, Clean orderly, neat and nearly everything available under one roof. Sale items are great prices. Items not on sale, however, you have to watch carefully.
A vast improvement over the scummy filthy dirty bug infested Waldbaum’s that so many of us grew up with. THose places should be closed down by the Health Dept.
