Nothing unusual is going on lately. Accident rates are down in the past several years as are auto injuries and fatalities. Please stop with all this meshugaas about moishiach and the Ebeshter wanting us to drive differently every time there is an accident (which is exactly what these events are). Accidents happen. They are tragedies which have always been with us even when our zaidas and bubbes were driving around Poland in horse drawn wagons and will always be with us unfortunately.

Poster # 14 (In reply to your query about the meaning of post # 5.) Poster # 5 is mixing Apples and Oranges. (And maybe Bananas & Pineapple.) Both are quotes from Chaza"l. Passages from the Talmud. Where the former is to the point, the Second quote is not. The full Talmudic Verse is as follows; כל שנה שאין תוקעין בתחילתה מריעין בה בסופה! This is an admonition against skipping the Mitzvah of Shofar on Rosh Ha Shanah. The Talmud warns us that if we don't (care to) hear the sound of Shofar in the beginning of the year, we will hear the sound of war by the end of the year. It is obviously out of place and has no relevance to the news at hand.

I knew that there were meshugoim out there, but meshugoim like yourself I did not know. if you can't see that there are so many tragedies of late- sadly almost a day doesn't go by without hearing some kind of sad news r"l. And most of us see this as a wake up call to do Teshuvah. Sorry but if you can see this as no more than an ACCIDENT and your statistics help to convince you that its all in the realm of normalicy, than you really are someone that is not with the program.

Be a shame the way u talk look in the torha what it reads if someone will say its a "mikre" hashem is sending everyday messages and we r acting like we r babys we don't know what hashem wants, rabosi hashem wants tznius from the girls and women not to try to b like the goyim, second world war started when we tryed to b like the goyim. So you know that this young woman, the eiynekel of Rav German, was not supposed to live beyond rosh hashahan so hashem was just doing his cleanup work. How dare you suggest you know what hahsem planned for her or for any other yid. The family has enough tragedy withour your insensitive commmentary.

So you know that there is somthing going on even though the facts are to the contrary. What is the basis for your superstitous belief that there are "more tragedies lately" when all the statistics are to the commentary. Did you ever stop to think (which I doubt) that the internet and news sites like VIN which report these stories in real time 24x7 that you are simply hearing about these accidents more frequently now than we used to when they were reported in the newpapers several days later. Of course we should do tshuvah during chodesh elul but stop with your silly game of using every tragedy to scream "gevalt yidden, the sky is falling"!!

Yes, by all means learn the shmiros haloshon every day!

But "a pregnant female is in traumatic arrest after being ejected from the vehicle" seems to possibly suggest that someone was not wearing a seatbelt.

So do the shmiros haloshon, but ALWAYS buckle up your seatbelt. And if you are the driver, insist that your passengers are all buckled up before you drive.

Sorry #37 (and #12- same poster) but you're just digging your hole bigger. No-one seems to agree to your skewed mindset. You are flatly wrong, tragedies are r"l befalling klal yisroel much worse than ever before, and its a fact and its also brought down in many places that discuss 'chevlei moshiach'- the birthpangs of the messianic era, how difficult and painful the end will be. And so again you can spin it all you want but no-one is buying your point of view.

May Hashem comfort him and their immediate families amongst the other mourners of Tziyoin and Yerushalayim. Umein.

You are clearly modern orthodox, i.e., a believer in Judaism without G-d. The holocaust happened because jews didn't learn self defense and arm themselves, not because Germany had 42% percent intermarriage rate and assimilation was on the rise throughout Europe. In order to protect against a future holocaust Jews need to arm themselves, not keep Shabbos and Torah and Mitzvos and other smilar heresy. Just because your small mind doesn't understand G-d's inifinite cheshbonos is not his Problem. In mathematical terms the difference between one and a billion may be great, but the difference between one and infinity and a billion and inifinity is the same. In simple term that means compared to G-d you have the same intelligence as a stone. The fact that expect to understnad what G-d understands only highlights your stupidity. BD"E TNZB"H

This family is extremely close to ours, but even had I not known them, it would still be a tragedy.
About the poster who wrote that accidents happen, let's just say that Moshiach didn't follow immediately after all the progroms in Europe, the crusades, and Holocaust, but that is not the only reason we say we're close to Moshiach- the gedolim are saying it.
Yes, 'accidents' have been happening since Hashem created the world, but when someone got into a horse and buggy accident in Poland 200 years ago, that TOO was a message from Hashem to do teshuva!

Poster # 47 (Anon.); The fact that we did not blow the Shofar on the First day of Rosh Hashana last year , does not diminish our protection because we followed Halachah. The conclusion in the Talmud is that when R"H falls on Shabbos, תקיעת שופר is postponed to the Second day of rosh Hashanah. גזירה שמא יעבירנו ארבע אמות ברשות הרבים. Meaning, that even though there is a Mitzvah of blowing the Shofar. But if the First day is Shabbos, the probability that one might carry it 4 "Amos" (where there is no "Eiruv") on a Main Thoroughfare supersedes the Mitzvah of .תקיעת שופר

Poster # 78 (Says.); You are contradicting yourself. As in another post you stated that you were a classmate of hers, a"h. Also, you are / were everywhere. And you post on both sides of an issue. Either there are Two of you or you are confused. There are some more multiple-choice answers left but in the spirit of Elul and the present (tragic) situation, I will not mention them.
