Fort Lauderdale - Marco Rubio Headed to Israel After Winning Florida Senate Race |
|
Marco Rubio at the Republican Jewish Coalition on June 10th in Delray Beach Florida.Fort Lauderdale - With victory in the congressional elections less than a day old, Florida Senator Marco Rubio (Rep.) who considers himself a ‘Tea Party’ member, is set to arrive in Israel on Sunday. Rubio’s visit so soon after the election win is a move that strengthens assessments that the congress in its current form will continue where it left off – at least where Israel is concerned.
The pro-Israeli AIPAC lobby applauded the election results, congratulated the winners and said: “It is abundantly clear that the 112th Congress will continue America’s long tradition of staunch support for a strong, safe and secure Israel and an abiding friendship between the United States and our most reliable ally in the Middle East.”
AIPAC expressed satisfaction over the fact that most pro-Israel senators were reelected and sent messages of congratulations to senators and congress members from both parties.

Although he has good intentions, I don't think that rushing so quickly is healthy.
Let him get sworn in and find his way and go after he developed some healthy relationships with a real agenda.
Then he would be able to go with some constituents and other politicians to!
Anyway, hope he has a safe trip and easy on the falafel balls.

How comforable would you feel if a newly elected Senator would visit Lebenon on his first week after winning? There is nothing wrong but it doesn't smell right.

If I were an Arab or a muslim, it would make me very unconfortable. Shelo asani goy so Senator-Elect Rubio's visit to E"Y doesn't bother me in the least. Since the election is over, I can't imagine any reason for this trip than genuine sincerity. Marco is the real deal: you may not agree with him but at least he says what he means and means what he says

I am a resident of Aventura, Florida and I proudly voted for Marco Rubio yesterday .His victory should be celebrated in the Jewish community. He is a good friend of Israel and will be a fighter against Islamic terror . May Hashem bless him with many years of health & success. Marco is a rising star that very well may be a future president of our beloved United States of America. Mazl tov Marco Rubio!

While he was a law student Marco interned for Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen who will now become the Chair of the House Foreign Relations Committee. Ileana is pro Israel and is a close friend of the Jewish community with good friends in the frum community. I know that Marco will emulate what he saw and lerned in Ileana's office.
Good luck Marco. I wish you the best of luck. Brocho V'Hatzlocho.
