West Bank, Bethlehem -Meyer Hirsch, head of Neturei Karta, addressed a conference held this past week dedicated to returning Palestine to Arab rule and chasing Zionists out of the “stolen land”.

The first International Islamic Christian Conference was held this past Tuesday in Bethlehem and was attended by hundreds of, Muslim, and Christian clergymen. Hirsch addressed the conference in Hebrew saying, “We need to remove the Zionist mask once and for all. We are officially announcing that according to the holy Torah, the Zionists have no right to this sacred land. The Zionists are the anti Semites and they will be chased out of this holy land by the power of G-d. This is an important gathering and we came here to announce our solidarity with the members of this conference and to show the great importance of ending the brutal Zionist occupation.”
Hirsch was repeatedly interrupted by cheers during his speech in which he referred to Mahmoud Abbas as “our beloved President” and called for the end of talks with Israel, saying that they will only be counterproductive.

The NK is right about 1 thing: Before 1948, there were plenty of Jews living in EY, and they got along pretty well with the other residents, including Palestinian, Arab, Muslim, Greek Orthodox, etc. It wasn’t until Ben Gurion came along that all the trouble started. They never had suicide bombers and Kassam rockets blowing up the cities. There is something to be said for the attitude against the Zionist philosophy and methodology, and while NK may be extreme, I think they are right in this principle. It’s a fact that can’t be ignored. The belief that as long as there is a Jewish state, albeit a secular non-Torah state, all will be ok for us, is absolute kefirah. There is no Israel without Torah, halacha, and even G-d. Without them, Israel is just another piece of dirt, and is not worth dying for or even fighting for.

I am not Chassidic, but I have business dealings with Satmar in BP. Every Satmar that I talk with is genually concerned about Israel and they feel terrible when terror attacks occur.
