The video clip, posted Wednesday on YouTube, has already become a viral hit and promises to freak out anyone who has ever taken the subway.
Rats are often relegated to the tracks as straphangers gaze at them while awaiting their train. This time, this rat-subway rider encounter was a little too close for comfort.
OMG!! This is horrific!!
love that clip ….watched it 10 times …that guy didnt know what hit him
The rats must be getting bolder (read: hungrier). Last night, for the first time, I saw a rat on a platform (as opposed to down on the tracks).
The Wolf
It’s pretty disgusting to watch… On a lighter note, Bloomberg or the MTA chairman will investigate to see if the rat paid full fair. I rarely take the subways but when I or anyone else does I would be more concerned about the two legged rats that roam the system.
I have seen rats on the platforms, but never on the train – yet!
You should be thankful that the NY subway trains have plastic seats. In other cities where they have material seats, I heard that the rats LIVE in the seats on the train!
I New York City any building/store/restaurant with live rats gets huge violations. I think that NYC should own up and stop giving violations for rats as its obviously an uncontrollable problem.
Based on voting paterns in New York, that must have been a DemoRat.
HOMELESS MAN WITH A “GOLDEN RAT”…. I THINK HES GONO GO TO REHAB….
what next? hungry cats to eat the rats????
why can’t they put out rat poison?
Ok, I think that this homeless guy is now guaranteed a job like Ted Williams from Ohio, what do you all think?
Lucky that rat wasn’t in the train with the people that were stuck for 8 hours in the blizzard.
Could have been a mossad trained rat doing some spy work.
My kid told me coming home on the F line he saw rats running on different platforms, Delancey, East Broadway, 2nd Avenue, when they were opening the doors!! It’s lucky one did not get on the train!!
