New Jersey - It was a lucky weekend for two gamblers at Atlantic City’s Borgata Hotel Casino $ Spa.
The casino says two customers hit slots jackpots Sunday totaling a whopping $4.2 million.
One gambler took the lion’s share with a win of just under $3.5 million on a one-cent “Wheel of Fortune” game. A Borgata spokeswoman says that ranks among the highest penny slot payouts ever in Atlantic City and is the first progressive jackpot hit on that type of machine since May 2008.
The second gambler played later in the day on a 50-cent “Wheel of Fortune” machine and won a little more than $700,000.
Both winners hail from New York and chose not to be identified.
