The demonstration calling for an end to Hosni Mubarak’s government is the biggest Egypt has seen in years.

Police are showing unusual restraint in what appears to be a concerted effort by the government not to provoke a Tunisia-like mass revolt.

The demonstrators chanted, “Long Live a Free Tunisia” and “Down with Hosni Mubarak.”

Hundreds of protesters also gathered in Alexandria and other cities.

The call for Tuesday’s rallies spread on Facebook and Twitter, with 90,000 saying they would attend. Downtown Cairo came to a standstill and there was a massive security presence.

This is a double edged sword. The Egyptian gov’t has been difficult for Israel, but the new gov’t that could come into power if Mubarak is overthrown could be much worse.

The Zionists are going to be shaking in their boots once the regimes in Jordan and Egypt are history. Over half the population in Egypt is under 30 and close to 50% unemployment. It will be a tsunami in the Arab countries, and the Zionists won’t be able to do a thing about it.

The Arab governments will foment an incident with Israel to divert the rabble’s attention away from their corruption and ineptitude. The age old method of keeping the street from rebelling.
