New York - Milk prices will jump another 11 cents a gallon in New York supermarkets.
The price of a gallon of milk has climbed 31 cents so far this year - and could reach even higher by the summer. The price is regulated by the state Department of Agriculture and Markets, and its officials notified grocery stores of the hike.
The price could be even higher in the city, especially in low-income neighborhoods where residents buy groceries from small bodegas and convenience stores. [NY Daily News]
