FILE - In this Dec 22, 1988 file photo Police and investigators look at what remains of the flight deck of Pan Am 103 on a field in Lockerbie, Scotland. Swedish tabloid Expressen said Wednesday Feb. 23, 2011 that Libya's recently resigned justice minister claims Moammar Gadhafi personally ordered the Lockerbie bombing that killed 270 people in 1988. Expressen quotes Mustafa Abdel-Jalil as telling their correspondent in Libya that "I have proof that Gadhafi gave the order about Lockerbie." The comments were translated from Arabic to Swedish. (AP Photo/File)Washington - Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton says the Obama administration may seek the prosecution of Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi for the 1988 Lockerbie bombing. That follows claims from some ex-Libyan officials that Gadhafi personally ordered the airline attack that killed 270 people.
Clinton tells Congress on Tuesday that she will ask the FBI and Justice Department to look into the matter in response to lawmakers’ requests.
She noted that some Libyan officials who have defected in recent weeks have said Gadhafi gave the instructions to blow up Pan Am flight 103.
The U.S. has considered Pan Am 103 a closed case since a former Libyan intelligence officer was convicted of the bombing and Libya had paid compensation to families of the victims.

This is the same misinformation like the WMD in Iraq!
He probably did order this himself, however we cannot allow ourselves to react based on these people who defected. Their only hope is that America takes their word and sends in the cavalry.
That's exactly what happened in Iraq.
