Chicago, IL - Chicago police say that they are investigating the vandalizing of a synagogue on the city's North Side as a hate crime.
State Senator Ira Silverstein, a Chicago Democrat, says someone spray painted derogatory messages on the front door of the Ner Tamid Ezra-Habonin Synagogue of North Town, near California and Rosemont Avenues, and also sprayed anti-Israeli slogans on signs in front of the building. Congregations members say some of the messages were in English and some were in Arabic. [WQAD]
