An estimated 1,600 worshippers entered the city of Nablus early Monday for nighttime prayers at a site believed to be the tomb of the biblical Joseph. The visit was coordinated with the military and Palestinian security forces.

The military says about an additional 200 Israelis went in without permission, and 50 refused to leave the tomb building early Monday. The military said soldiers removed them, arresting three.

The military criticized the Israelis for endangering themselves and the troops guarding the prayers. A Jewish worshipper at the tomb without permission was killed by a Palestinian policeman on April 24.

I agree that these Israelis are foolish for not to notifying the army to ask for their protection. This group, by not asking for a permit are making a political statement. They are saying that they do not recognize the Palistinians as the authority over the Holy land and they in principle will not deal with a group that they do not recognize as a legitamate authority. They feel that to make this point is worth risking their lives for.

Nothing will change, nothing can change until the Palestinian people recognize this reality; their greatest enemy is not Israel. The greatest threat to the Palestinian people is, and always has been, their own leaders.

And Israel cannot negotiate with Hamas, anymore than Chamberlain could negotiate with Herr Hitler.

Since the Arab Palestinians elected not to recognize the Jewish State, all prior agreements are nul and void.
Jewish people have the right and duty to pray and visit any where in the biblical land of Israel.
Jews have been persecuted and discriminated against for thousands of years by the nations of the world.
It is a disgrace that Jews are been harassed and discriminated against by the liberal left Israelis and government.
Any Arab Palestinians interfering with Jews praying or visiting any sites in biblical Israel should be dealt with by force if necessary.
Arab Palestinians who do not like it can leave the land of Israel.
The Arab nations can put them in the homes of the million plus Jews expelled from Arab countries.
The Land of Israel includes Jordan, Lebanon and Syria.
The Arabs should be thankful that the Jew let them stay.
And Israel cannot negotiate with Hamas, anymore than Chamberlain could negotiate with Herr Hitler.

Israel is not an occupying force – Israel has regained its own land

Contrary to world popular opinion, Israel is not an occupying force, extending its domain by annexing the land of her neighbors and maintaining an occupation force on somebody else’s land by using brute military force to ensure her expansionist policies. Rather, Israel has acquired the land that is the subject of dispute by repulsing the invading armies of her neighbors.

    To 12-13, MJ Draiman —
There are very few places in Israel that I can enter freely for prayer or any other purpose. Nearly all places are governed by restrictions — laws of ownership, safety rules, zoning codes, etc. That’s because Israel is a state and lives by rules and agreements, and in return it has enormous legal powers. It used those powers to deal with a bad situation at Kever Yosef, and you are free to regard the solution attained as a bad one. For those who feel this way, the proper address for complaints is the Government of Israel. The “invaders” of Kever Yosef did this in a bizarre and, to my mind, forbidden way — they endangered IDF soldiers because the soldiers represented the Government of Israel, which regulates Jews’ right to daven at Kever Yosef. This has little to do with EY being “Jewish land.”
