New York, NY – Police reported a record number of stop-and-frisk encounters for the first quarter of the year – and civil liberties groups are fuming over the spike.

Cops stopped and questioned 183,326 people in the city between January and March, about 22% more than the 149,753 stops recorded over the corresponding period last year.
“Stopping and frisking hundreds of thousands of innocent people each year makes nobody safer,” said Christopher Dunn, associate legal director of the New York Civil Liberties Union.
Let the civil liberties groups fume. It’s necessary.
Why is the ACLU always on the side of the criminals and not even once on the side of the innocent people who are the victims of these criminals.
I have no problem being stopped and frisked as long as it’s not by a female officer. I’ve done nothing wrong and have nothing to hide so they are most welcome to frisk me anytime.
unfortunately we live in a world where these frisking are necessary, i just hope that the NYPD is smart enough to know who to frisk, not an 80 yr old bubby or4 yr old child, rather they should be on the lookout for MUSLIMS

Just because there are some racist cops doesn’t mean this policy is faulty. There are racists everywhere, in every segment of society. But there are also people who are plotting evil against the West. They have been taught to hate “infidels” – Jews, Americans, etc. And they live and work among us, even as they plot to kill us. So I say, “Let the police do their job.” Otherwise, it’ll be like the O.J. case, where a violent criminal goes free because a cop once made a racist remark. Only this time, it could be a whole lot worse.
Muslims Shmuslims. What a bunch of sheep some of you are. They would NEVER stop and frisk a middle-eas… screw it, ARAB looking person. They stop and frisk your wives, sisters, mothers, daughters. Because racial profiling is frowned upon.
