I am usually against these sorts of demonstrations but I believe that they are not wrong here, Rabbonim must be able to give Halachlik rulings, where they are politically correct or not.

It seems to me that a more sane government, would have better things to do that to go after A Rov whose offense seems to be an approbation for a sefer someone wrote.
Perhaps their collective efforts should be directed at Arab members of parliament guilty of sedition, the Iranian upcoming nuclear bomb capabilities etc etc. Sometimes I have to wonder. Perhaps someone should spray Israel with some valium……

As usual, the police will have to bust a few heads to make these behamas realize there is no right to riot over a policy decision you disagree with. Hopefully, after a few of them are taken to jail or hospitalized for their injuries while the police cleared the streets, they will learn the art of peaceful demonstrations.

While I disagree with the arrest of Rav Lior I think these protests cause more Chillul HaShem than anything else. Action like this you would expect from Charedim. Is that what these so-called activists what to be identified with?

arrest each and every one and jail them.

no government can survive when you have a group of people who think simply I will protest and we will not get arrested.

they do it for every reason even when a mother starves her child

I don’t know, it seems that if they could arrest Gd, they would for writing the Torah and incitement. Since when can’t a Muslim speak about wiping us our without getting arrested;) ?

I have a few thoughts about this. First of all the video showed numerous amounts of charaidim (I mean the ones in black hats and black felt yalmukas) what were they doing there. They have no idea who Rav Lior is or what he was arrested for. I suspect that they were there for fun. Also I would like to know which Rabbanim sanctioned these protest. I assume that they were sanctioned because from what I can tell the majority of the protesters are bochrim from the top yeshiva in the world, Mercaz Ha’rav. Lastly I’m not sure if i fully believe in certain things written in sefer Torat Hamelch, but, I do believe that Israel needs to stop being so totalitarian like communist Russia and start being more democratic like the US. Israel needs to have more freedom of speach and press, and not arrest any jew who says somthing that they don’t like. But if it keeps being a totalitarian government than let it be fair and arrest arabs and left wingers who say and write inciteful things.
