Albany, NY - New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo has set special elections for former Rep. Anthony Weiner’s congressional seat and six vacant seats in the state Assembly for Sept. 13, coinciding with statewide primaries.
The 9th Congressional District includes parts of Brooklyn and Queens.
The Assembly seats are in Oneida County, Erie County, Brooklyn, Manhattan and two in Queens.
Weiner resigned in June after he admitted, after earlier denials, that he sent inappropriate messages and photos to women online.

Why not? I think even Eliot Spitzer could easily run for Governor or other political seat and he WILL get elected! So no reason why Athoney Wiener shouldn't do so
