New York – New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg will officiate at one of the city’s first same-sex marriages — the union of two top staffers in his administration.

Bloomberg spokesman Marc LaVorgna (luh-VORN’-yuh) says the mayor plans to preside over the wedding of John Feinblatt, Bloomberg’s chief policy adviser, and Department of Consumer Affairs Commissioner Jonathan Mintz. They’ve been together for 14 years and have two young daughters.
The nuptials, first reported in The New York Times, are planned for July 24. That’s the day that a new state law legalizing gay marriage goes into effect.
Officials have said they expect a rush of interest on that Sunday, and New York City clerks’ offices are taking the unusual step of opening on a day when government offices normally are closed.
I’m sure their parents are shepping such nachas……….
And he’s jewish………R”L!!
Its somewhat ironic that the first chassanah under the new law are two yiddin who work for a jewish mayor. While most of us are not big fans of gay marriage, we should probably wish the chasan/chasan a mazel tov and move on to more important issues.
Bunch of sick demented perverts. Yes I said it, and mean it.
such nice news. nachas all around
Men with women and women with men!
Now we see why trouble is around the corner. This could be the last of our stable years in ny. Heavens wrath is upon us.
so grosssssssssssssssssssss………………………….
Moshiach should come now
its sick out there and getting sicker
this is an outrage lets hope god doesn’t come down and meter out some punishment during the first dance.
Mazal Tov!
Its good they have girls if it would of been a boy thet would of had to make a Pidyon Haben
The more attention we focus on this the more empowered they will feel. The battle is over and this is now the law of New York. Let them live their lives as they wish and lets focus on somthing really important like finding jobs for our kids
Don’t forget his mother just passed away he is in the “sloshim” I’ sure his mother will be proud of him “hashem yishmor”
It will be a big simcha only hashem will cry.
BTW the Mayer likes gefilta fish.
You cant married during the 3 weeks….call of the wedding
now he is mesader toavot ! Its’ simply nuts !
Same-sex couples with children hurt the children’s development and happiness. The mayor is contributing to child abuse.
was bloomberg the mesader kdushin ?
The “civil” law in NY may allow same sex marriage but Hashem has clearly stated in the Torah that he does not. The fact that the mayor, the elected leader of a few million people, has decided to officiate and therefore offer his blessing is a shanda!
What, does he need the liberal press to show how “modern” the mayor is and maybe gain a little more support from the “sickies” in Hollywood????? And the yiddin involvement in all this is heartbreaking. OY VEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Two men in partnership… “and have two young daughters”?
Wow!
Just wondering. Do they make mitzva tanz where there’s no kalah?
All these negative comments about gay marriage between two consenting adults, yet no one complains about the pedophiles in our Shuls. We give them Aliyas and never mention a word. Gay marriage does not affect our lives, but child molestion does. Let’s get our focus straight.
