The youngster was last seen leaving the Boyan Day Camp on 44th Street between 12th and 13th Avenues. NBC News reports that sources say that yesterday was the first time the boy was allowed to leave camp on his own.

Meanwhile, The New York State Department of Criminal Justice Services has issued an Alert for the boy, stating that he was last seen on 44th Street near 12th Avenue at 4:50 PM. Leibby is described as being four feet tall, weighing fifty pounds with black hair and brown eyes and anyone who has seen him is requested to call 1-800-577-TIPS.

“There is nothing new to report at this point in time,” said Chaim Deutsch of the Flatbush Shomrim patrol to VIN News.

As hundreds of people take to the streets to participate in the search, Tehillim is being said worldwide for the missing boy, with a special Tehillim Teleconference scheduled for 10:45 PM EDT by the Chofetz Chaim Heritage Foundation. To join the teleconference, call 718-258-2008 and enter the number nine at both prompts.

with all due respect to the shomrim etc i think that this missing child is alot more complicated than it seems. i would hope that the police and maybe even the FBI take over the investigation. it seems like this is over our heads. has there been a tip line set up? have the police started receiving tips? we should be davening. this is what we know how to do well and the people who have background in law enforcement should work hand in hand with the police.

The news on TV said the police dog picked up his scent and they speculated that the dog found a piece of clothing with the scent and they took his father to see it.

The boy’s father left with police officers this afternoon for undisclosed reasons, and it’s unclear where they were taking him.

    Leibby Kletzky
Authorities say Leibby was last seen leaving the Boyan Day Camp on 1205 44th Street between 12th and 13th Avenues shortly before 5 p.m. Monday.

He went missing after a previously arranged break from his normal routine.

“He normally took a bus down, you know, like every child, he wanted a little bit of independence, wanted to do a little bit of walking on his own,” said Brooklyn Assemblyman Dov Hikind. “So they had decided that they were going to — instead of walking all the way home, the mother was going to meet him just two blocks or so away from the day camp. The day camp is at 12th Avenue and 44th street, and the mother was meeting him at 13th Avenue, just one street over. Never arrived. Never showed up.”

Whoever has video surveillance around their house or business – even if you don’t live in BP – should look at it.

What a strange place this is!

Barryfrombrooklyn #1 (very sensibly, IMO) hopes that VIN will not stoop to rumor mongering.

Guess what? Exactly ten minutes later Shmerel #3 does exactly that: publishes an unfounded and unsourced rumor!

i am in china and unable to help. HOWEVER, did they use a bloodhound dog to pick up his scent AT HOME and then take the dog to the last CCTV spotting on 17th ave ??? just a thought

I am afraid he is being held captive in some apartment or basement while the monster who has kidnapped him is walking around and even participating in the search pretending to help, personally checking the place where he is hiding the captive and saying “all clear!”

For all we know he has been moved out of Brooklyn, possibly out of the state and maybe out of the country already.

he was seen walking far from where he was supposed to met his mother. That is very strange why would a 9 year old wander so far unless someone he knew told he too

Apparently, he asked a lady at the corner of 18th/45th/Dahill for directions or something and turned around and walked down Dahill. Dahill Rd extends from 18th until Ft. Hamilton Pkwy (Greenwood Cemetery),about a mile or a 20 minute walk. The neighborhood changes from Jewish to Muslim/Pakistan to a little Spanish.
We shouldn’t shy away from knocking on these doors to ask for their help. I live in that neighborhood. They will help all they can. Ask about security cameras in the area.
Also, we should have available a picture of what he was wearing. His shirt is wide striped (think “Where’s Waldo”, but in Blue & White).
Please daven for Yehudah ben Ita Esther.
