35-year-old Levi Aron, who led them to parts of missing boy Leibby Kletsky’s body, stuffed in a red suitcase and hidden in a Dumpster outside an auto repair shop about two miles away, sources said.

Cops said Aron, who works at the Empire Supply hardware store on McDonald Avenue in Kensington, allegedly suffocated the boy before chopping him up. Police said they also found three knives in a butcher block inside Aron’s apartment.

Co-worker said Aron is divorced with no kids and acted completely normal at work yesterday.

“I can’t believe this,” he said. “He was a strange guy, but he was here yesterday and he was fine after killing this little boy.”

Any criminal record? Other articles label him as a known molester. Is that speculation or is something really known? Did this case involve molestation, or is that also just someone’s guess?

It is possible that when this creep went to work on Tuesday, that poor Leiby was still alive in his apartment at that time. The body was dumped sometime after midnight last night. It could be that when the search intensified around the Kensington area late Tuesday afternoon due to the video clues, he panicked and did what he did.

This is a remorseless cold blooded killer. Death would be to good for him.

1 – For sure Levi didn’t come on the idea of killing a kid “out of the blue” or “all of a sudden” but an underlining sickness was there all along.
2 – For sure there was a pattern of irrational behavior dating many years back.
3 – Only parents and educators can recognize such “deviating” pattern.
4 – To take action when such pattern materializes, to talk openly about it with family members, contact professional assistance or even denounce it to authorities is a different ballgame. A decision very difficult to be made.
5 – Therefore this is a very complicated mental condition to predict and we should be prepared to see it happen again and again, B”H not with the frequency that is being seen in the gentile community but with a guarantee, holillo, that is gonna repeat itself.

Avot: Perek 5, Mishnah 11: “Wild beasts come to the world on account of false oaths and the desecration of the [holy] name.” (Ethics from Sinai, I. Bunim)

How else can you describe the gruesome tragedy in Brooklyn this morning? What else but a beast (with the appearance of a human) could have committed such inhuman brutality?

I am not going to copy down all that Reb Irving Bunim, zt”l, wrote on this Mishna in Ethics From Sinai other than the last paragraph from item [6]:
Once any individual or fragment of our people casts off the tefillin, whatever is worn or done instead never has this effect. With the tefilin gone, gone too are the sacred ties to our people’s past, the way of life of ancestral faith; and vanished is the awe shown us that Scripture promises.

Please don’t post an upfront picture of this chayeh, it’s too hurtful.
It seems to me, with the outpour of the community in searching for the boy, this may have scared him into doing this, because he didnt’ want to be implicated in the crime – so he panicked. Absolutely no excuse for the Chayeh beheimeh that should have the same thing done to him.

I think that such people derive thrills from the amount of elaboration people devote to their terroristic barbarisms. Let us minimize our comments, look away from our expressions of such deeds and do teshuva that such a thing took place.

To #3, those “sites” or comments you’re reffering to, are of some people who are absessed with molestation & alike, thinking of it & fantasising all day of those subjects, any news possible they would entangle and wrap in with molestation. As of now there is no evidence that this boy has been molested, & the suspect has no record of molestation or rape, and this beast cold blooded murderer is a simple child killer!

My sense is that what happened is that the boy got lost, asked a random Jewish stranger for help, the stranger happens to have mentally/psychiatric issues, the stranger takes the lost boy to his house with no intent of harming him, panics when he realizes the mass search and media attention around the missing boy, realizes that there is no good way for him to admit that he has this boy at home, decides (in his warped mind) that the only way out is to kill the boy and dispose of him. This is what I have gathered from what I’ve read so far. It is not meant to minimize in any way the horrific tragedy of this terrible crime.

Dear Klal Yisroel. Baruch Dayan Haemes. Our hearts & hopes are shattered! The brutal tragedy that has befallen our people is overwhelming. It hurts so much! The Kiddush Hashem, the unification, the enormous display of dedication from different communities, from different types – all coming together is incredible! We as a People have so much heart, so much compassion!! People gave tremendously of their time, money and energy (they couldn’t ordinarily spare!) in the hope of helping a fellow yid.
Dear Friends: We cannot comprehend the Plan of the Ribono Shel Olam, yet we can absorb the obvious facts. We have proven ourselves. We CAN be unified, and loving and caring. WE KNOW HOW. Let us keep our energy going – let us share of our time money and energy to help yidden – whether we know who they are or not. Let us make an extra effort to speak to other yidden – family members, strangers, etc. in a way that demonstrates our gentle concern for every tzelem elokim. Let us maintain this beautiful achdus and ahavas chaveirim! Leibby a”h would want us to.
May the zechus of our efforts be a Nechoma to the Kletsky family and bring the Geulah Shleimah Bimeheira. Umacha Hashem Dima.

parents please stop being naive and wake up. i watch how you allow your sons go to tutors in their homes. are you so sure your son will tell you he is being molested. is he aware of what molestation is. i ask you to check out the references you got because there are places “helpful ones” that don’t do proper research when they refer someone to you. most tutors are “talmidai Chachomim” “good Learners” that “look” chushuv have chushuve kids but are hiding behind a mask. please everyone lets stop hiding, its not a chilul Hashem or messura to come forward. I beg you Please lets stop this enough is enough

The Germans from a cultured society became a nation of murderers. When you don’t follow the Torah you can end up anywhere. Levy Aron (shem reshaim yirkov) used to be frum and stopped being so for a while now.
Note. Frum does not mean Black Hat and jacket.

Yes this crazy guy deserves to be hung! This terrible tragedy was a wake up call for us, we need to do teshuvah!!! hashem is calling us, r we waking up and coming closer to him??!! we live in crazy times where everyone is busy with the goisha influences, internet and all. i think we (me included) should try to come closer to the aibershter. and we should all be safe and hear besuros tovos. amen

When i heard about this innocent little boy’s tragic ending I cried for about an hour. This ia a terrible and senseless crime. But for all those who are suggesting hurrendous ways to end this murderers life-how does killing justify killing? Your suggestions are violent and sick and do you think Leiby a”h would want ppl to talk like that? Personally I want this animal to get the death penalty as much as everyone else (although sadly its unlikely since NY hasnt carried out an execution since ’76). Instead of letting your anger take over and turn you into a person you do not want to become, do something in Leiby’s a”h memory. I am not orthodox but I am going to keep this shabbos in the memory of this little boy. Its natural to be furious but let that fury lead you to do good deeds instead.
May God comfort his family and may we know no more pain.

I cannot even begin to imagine what the parents must feel like. These people are going through the unnatural notion of burying a child. It cannot get much worse than that! Leiby’s neshoma should sore to the highest of levels.
The outpouring of help by the local community made a kiddush- Hashem as apposed to the awful chillul- Hashem that that sicko made.
Parents – please reiterate with your children as many times as possible that strangers are anyone that you do not know. Anyone who their parents don’t know. Kids need to know that strangers don’t look funny. They are female and male alike. They are Jews, Black, Asians, Whites. They are short and tall fat and skinny. Some are pretty others are handsome.
Kids need to be aware that strangers and “bad people” don’t look like monsters.
Parents must drill this informations and much more into their children’s head constantly (not just after a horrific incident that was way too close to home).
Its imperative to help assist in preventing tragedies.

I have another thought….This man is a sick, sick bastard. I make no excuses for him but I agree that we should let him be punished by the highest authority. G-d.

    continuation…..

We cannot allow ourselves to become evil at the foot of evil. We are human and as long as that remains factual I believe that we need to act with love and care towards our fellow man. Teach good things, learn good things, and be kind. Do as many mitzvas as we can and avoid lotion hara and sinas chinam.
This man is awful and will be dealt with as Hakadosh Baruch Hu sees fit. We should all focus on our family and friends and helping our communities as best possible. Being there as were so many for the Kletzky family.
May the family only know of simchos and love and never ever have to suffer or witness suffering.
Hamakom Yinachem Otam Bitoch Shaar Avalei Tzion ViYerushalayim.
