New York – A political consultant has contacted the police after receiving a voice message from a man who said Democrat David Weprin’s “days are numbered.”

Consultant Mary Simon was Weprin’s finance director up until a month ago. She said she received the call on her cell phone Wednesday afternoon and alerted the State Troopers in the capital, along with Weprin’s family and district office.
In the call, which Simon forwarded me, the man refers to Israel and calls Weprin “a traitor” and says “you XXXX… pieces of XXXX.. have done more damage to this country than all XXXX….Muslim terrorists combined.”

I don’t see any threat in saying “your days are numbered” for a politician, they meant to say that he will be kicked out of office in the next election. Great way of pulling together a publicity stunt……
Some of the crazies who are upset about Weprin’s vote for gay marriage will go to any length to intimidate him. I hope the police can trace the call and prosecute whomever made such a call. Even yidden who might not agree with him on this issue should know that making such threats is both a crime and a big chillul hashem. Hopefully, no jewish groups are involved.
