I hope the driver is charged with attempted murder.

WHY in the world is this considered an anti-Semitic attack? The news item makes no mention of any slurs or evidence that would suggest Jew-hatred as a motive for this incident.
Remember, though, we're in the 3 Weeks and - now - the 9 Days. Moschiach now!

Name of the driver please. Is it official policy now, that whenever the alleged perpetrator of a crime is a Muslim, the media doesn't give a name?

The article says nothing about a hate crime. How do you know it wasn't an accident or a drunk driver? Please don't assume every time a vehicle driven by someone who looks like a muslim accidently drives up on the sidewalk and hits yidden it was done purposely.

Clapton common is quite a long road but it's on the same road just a bit further down.

Whether or not this can be assumed to be anti semetic just depends on how often muslim drivers keep "accidentally" jumping the curb and plowing over jews. Remember the truck driver in israel?

I had a driver from pakistan swerve to the other side of traffic on coney island ave to try to hit me as i was crossing the street. A cop saw the who thing and pulled over the driver but of course wouldnt do anything about trying to hit me....at least in this case they are handling it differently

1) Richard Reid - the shoe bomber - was from Wanstead
2) Because a nutter lives around there, doesn't mean everyone (driving) in the area is a nutter.

Actually, if at all possible, when the accused is a Muslim, the media usually make mention of his name and religion.

It looks like an attack. It is a straight stretch there since I know the road. It is also a bus stop so he should have been to the right [drive on the opposite side] not on the side walk.

Yeah, sure. All the problems of the world can be ascribed to the Muslims - even the fact that today is Tuesday.

OK, so you live there and you saw it all - we will not doubt your word.on that point.
But what qualifies you to say "it was definitely attempted murder"? Are you the investigating Metropolitan Police officer?
As for your assertion that "it happened just minutes from where the shoe bomber lived and that one eyed one hook for hand abu chamza" this has as much relevance as saying it happened just moments from Egerton Road shul and where you can buy really great beigels".

I never said that. I'm just implying that people should be extra careful, as anti-Semitism is especially rampant during the 3 Weeks.

wanstead is real far from here, nowhere close, and this is being treated as a "loosing control of the vehicle" and none other. You would all be better of saying some tehillim then speculating.

Nothing "qualifies" him. It's his opinion. You don't agree? That's your right, as it is his to opine.

it's about 6 miles away.
So all Muslims can be blamed for every (alleged) crime that takes place within at least 6 miles of a completely different crime commited by a completely different Muslim.
