Manhattan, NY - US presidential hopeful Rick Perry is hoping to cook up some Jewish support with a kosher reception this week.
According to the Politico website, the Texas governor’s campaign team has organized an £1,600-a-head event for donors at a Manhattan hotel which will include a kosher menu.
Mr Perry is an ardent supporter of Israel but comes from an evangelical branch of Christianity and last month hosted a prayer rally where he called for J. to save America.
The reception is one of four events Mr Perry has planned to bring in New York voters.

Sounds good. Israel will have a strong friend and staunch defender in Perry. Their enemies will think twice before doing their thing like in the last 3 years. They will know that Perry has a pair of Texas boots on that might end up shoved into right where they don't want it.

Yes, you really have to respect these Christian evangelicals for adherence to their principles. Last week, one of Perry's big admirers, the Rev. Pat Robertson (another former Republican Presidential candidate) gave his heter for men to abandon their wives if they come down with Alzheimer's. You've got to admire their "pro-family" principles.

FAIL! Who cares about Israel when we cannot seem to get out of this recession! We won't have a country left from which to support Israel G-d forbid if this wacko has his way and starts another war in the Middle East! Better vote for Ron Paul, he is the only rational choice for simply letting Israel manage her own foreign policy without interfering.

If we were to vote for anti-Semitic cranks, we have much better choices than Ron Paul: Pat Buchanan, Mel Gibson, whoever Aryan Nation will decide to run, etc.
