New York – NY Magazine: Obama Is The Best Thing Israel Has Going For It Right Now

    20

New York – The last time Barack Obama and Benjamin Netanyahu shared each other’s company, you could say that the encounter did not go well—if by “not well” you mean abysmally. This was on May 20, the day after Obama gave his big speech on the Arab Spring, in which he unleashed a tsunami of tsuris by endorsing the use of Israel’s 1967 borders “with mutually agreed [land] swaps” as the basis for a two-state solution with the Palestinians. Obama and Netanyahu were seated in the Oval Office for what was supposed to be one of those photo ops devoted to roasting rhetorical chestnuts about the solidity of the U.S.-Israel alliance. Instead, while Obama watched silently, looking poleaxed, Netanyahu lectured him—for seven and a half minutes, on live television—about the folly, the sheer absurdity, of suggesting Israel ever return to what he called the “indefensible” 1967 lines.

Obama was furious with Netanyahu, who in choosing to ignore the crucial qualifier about land swaps had twisted Obama’s words beyond recognition—the kind of mendacious misinterpretation that makes the presidential mental. The seniormost members of Obama’s team felt much the same. Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton, Bob Gates, Bill Daley, the former Mideast-peace envoy George Mitchell: All were apoplectic with the prime minister, whose behavior over the past two years had already tried their patience. “The collective view here is that he is a small-minded, fairly craven politician,” says an administration source deeply involved in its efforts to push the parties to the negotiating table. “And one who simply isn’t serious about making peace.”

If Obama really supported Israel, he would have worn a knit yarmulke for the cover shot instead of that white thing he has on his head.

I’ll bet they don’t mean its because Obama is “helping” us with our t’filos for yiddin in EY as well as to bring Moshiach.

I think the caption on the top of the New Yorker cover is more appropriate “The Con Man”…. Change we can do without!

What a chutzpah. It was Obama’s policies and speeches that could find no wrong on the parts of the Palestinians or any other Middle East terror entity while finding problems only with Israel that led to the situation we are facing now. He emboldened the PA to move towards their seeking statehood. Obama was instrumental in moving the rest of the world’s sympathies further towards the Palestinians. The 11th hour gestures that Obama is making now probably mean nothing to the PA because they realize Obama is weak and cannot do much to change the minds of the rest of the world.

NO! This is simply NY Magazine showing its anti-Israel bias to the masses. Shame on them.

Netanyahu knows all about concessions to the Palestinians, which is the only language that Obama can speak. He cannot, and will not insist that terror, violence, and murder serve as prerequisites for anything. US will continue to supply the PA with money, aid, and send military aid to other Muslim nations. US will continue to stop Israel for building on its own territory. US will yield to Muslim pressure to limit military aid to Israel, above objections of Congress. Obama will press Israel to give, and then smile to the terror monsters of the Muslim world and tell them to take it. But not one word of concession from the Palestinians. That’s Bibi’s message, and Obama should be overwhelmed with embarrassment for continuing that evil, one sided approach. And until Obama decides to get tough with the agents of terror, he should be lectured. This emperor has no clothes, and someone finally exposed him. Shame on you, NY Magazine. May you lose chunks of your readership over your biased journalism. May your advertisers see your twist, and abandon you as well.

“The collective view here is that he is a small-minded, fairly craven politician,” says an administration source deeply involved… (talking about PM Netanyahu)

I suggest comparing the resumes of the two men and see who you would pick…American goy are so self absorbed sometimes that it turns my stomach.

Their magazine should go back to its 1967 borders. I bet that they had more subscriptions back then.

You are seeing this hastily contrived New York Magazine article for one reason and one reason only.

Weprin’s loss in last week’s election.

Obama is actually losing the Jews.

    Make no mistake about it.
The leftist media is in a state of panic.
The Jews have stopped obeying their bible – The New York Times.
They have the chutzpah of finally thinking for themselves.

So New York Magazine with its eye-catching cover article is trying to rectify the situation before it is too late..

“His (Obama) role here is not that of the callous assailant but of the caring and sober brother slapping his drunken sibling (Israel).”

NYMag is hardly concealing their true hatred. So when is Obama going to “slap” his murderous sibling, the Palestinians?

Obama desperately needed an education on the facts in the Middle East. He should have thanked Netanyahu for giving to him straight. But of course, he thinks he is the all-knowing messiah, and can not be told anything. B’ezrat haSh-m, next November he will be reminded that he is just a lowly Chicago ‘neighborhood organizer’.
As it is, Bibi and his lapdog Barak do way too much shining of obama’s shoes. May HaSh-m give Bibi the strength to stand up to this lover of our enemies.

Yawn. Sorry, obama-oids, but it is too late. This is an OBVIOUS panic-based ploy on the part of the hypnotized supporters of president Zero who were stunned by last Tuesday’s vote. It won’t work, tipshim: (A) You’re not going to win us over, you’ve lost a significant fraction of the Jewish vote that you had in 2008, and Zero’s support continues to drop like a stone amongst Jews. (B) The fact is that, in terms of numbers, our votes don’t really matter that much, anyway, outside of a small number of places across the country, so you’re wasting your energy – but don’t let that stop you. (C) What matters more than the rank-and-file Jewish vote, which, as noted above, is too small in most places to matter, is the effect of the financial heavy hitters amongst the Jewish population, who massively supported the man-child on his road to the White House. Too bad, boichiks, but you’re steadily losing there, too – billionaires such as Haim Saban, who coughed up big bucks for you in 2008, have seen president Zero for what he is, and will no longer be writing you imbeciles any more checks.

Take your almost worthless obama-bucks and buy valium NOW, before Nov. 2012: you’ll need it.

Summary of the article: Obama is incompetent at showing how pro-Israel he really is, and Netanyahu is alternately a doofus and a liar.

Of course, New York Magazine being the intellectual equivalent of the National Enquirer, I don’t think we should take what they say too seriously. They only have influence on the Upper West Side, which has the collective intelligence of the National Enquirer as well.
