Recep Tayyip Erdogan says Sunday that both countries are working together and determined.
Erdogan said: “there is no question of any postponement,” a clear reference to a possible joint military operation against the main Kurdish rebel base on Qandil Mountain which sits on the Iraqi-Iranian border deep inside northern Iraq.
He says: “I regret to say this but there will be a price for it,” a reference to possible military losses in a cross-border offensive.
A wing of the Kurdish rebel group, which is waging a war for autonomy in Turkey’s southeast, is also fighting against Tehran from Qandil.

Great, so as soon as they get bogged down in this Kurdish battle, their nuclear plant will be bombed by “someone”. At the same time, Turkey is busy in the same Kurdish battle and they too will get Zetzed from the same “somebody”. Meanwhile, Palestine will make some stupid moves and Israel will say “call your Turkish & Iranian buddies, fools”.
I just have one question. why is Turkey still a member of NATO? We live in a sick political enviroment..
The U.S. policy in Iraq is partly to blame. The kurdish terrorists operate out of northern Iraq and frequently conduct raids into Turkey. Over the past decade, the Turks have asked the U.S. and Iraq to take action but we’ve not really done anything out of fear of upsetting the fragile domestic politics in Iraq.
This Erdogan (of Turkey) has been making headlines everyday. Every time he’s threatening another country. I have a (gut) feeling that he’s “Cashing in his Chips”. Let’s wait and see.
The kurds are fine People who deserve a homeland too, turkey should give up land just like they demand from Israel to give up land
its probably a front that they are telling the media while they plan an attack on israel, chas veshalom.
Maybe the kurds can apply at the UN for a state living harmoniously side by side with the turks the same the turks want for their nebechdige palestinian friends ?
It’s a complicated situation. but US should have relied more on kurds while in Iraq.
Also Kurds are actually friends of Israel. I had a chance to speak with some of them. They dod not dare to express their feelings since they have a lot of issues with the countries where they live. O’k may be they are not friends but they are not enemies for sure. I’ll take anyone who is not our enemy in this terrible region
Under the present administration, America looks weak and indecisive. Obama promised to become “friends” with everyone rather than take the Cowboy approach Bush/Cheney took with Saddam Hussein. I guess Obama changed his tune when going after OBL in Pakistan…HMMM.
