Washington – Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton says she supports calls for an investigation into the death of Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi as part of Libya’s transition from dictatorship to democracy.

Gadhafi was captured wounded, but alive Thursday in his hometown of Sirte. Bloody images of Gadhafi being taunted and beaten by his captors have raised questions about whether he was killed in crossfire, as suggested by government officials, or was executed.
Clinton tells NBC’s “Meet the Press” that she backs a proposal that the United Nations investigate Gadhafi’s death and that Libya’s Transitional National Council look into the circumstances, too.
Clinton says a democratic Libya should begin with the rule of law and accountability, as well as unity and reconciliation. She says investigating Gadhafi’s death is part of the process.
A typical government response. If this was science, it might actually make sense. In reality, the creep is dead, Libya moves into another phase of what should be democracy, and Gadafi’s story is over. Meanwhile, United States is funding the UN to do what? Study the death circumstances about something that is now irrelevant? Great use of US tax dollars. No worry, just find somewhere to hike taxes on our citizens. The logic of this is unbelievable. As for me, the guy got the bullets he deserved. Get rid of the body, and turn the page.

Hey hypocryte. How come you didn’t want an investighation when Bin Ladin was murdered by the Americans? They easily could have caught him and brought back alive. It was a prior decision not to do so. But now to ask for an investigation to look holy, is a farce and a fraud.
