FILE - Former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger testifies before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee on 'The Role of Strategic Arms Control in a Post-Cold War World', on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC, USA, 25 May 2010.

Washington - American Jewish groups lobbying the Nixon White House on behalf of their Soviet brethren got under Henry Kissinger’s skin in demanding intense pressure on Moscow to the point that he denounced them to a White House colleague as self-serving “bastards,” newly released documents indicate.

Among the appeals flooding the White House was one from the late Israeli Prime Minister Golda Meir to President Richard Nixon in August 1972 asking him to protest to the Kremlin its levying of fees for exit permits.

The White House, defending its strategy of quiet diplomacy, sought to assure the American Jews that Nixon was very concerned about the plight of Soviet Jews, had taken up the issue with Soviet leaders directly and remained convinced that quiet diplomacy was the best approach, the documents related.

A White House official, Leonard Garment, saying he was flooded with letters and phone calls with Jewish appeals, asked Kissinger for help and guidance. The late Alexander Haig, Nixon’s national security adviser, sent him Mrs. Meir’s letter and said “We will have to consider the best means by which to proceed.”

According to transcripts released by the State Department, Kissinger, who was Haig’s deputy, said to Garment: “Is there a more self-serving group of people than the Jewish community?” Kissinger is Jewish.

Garment, also Jewish, replied: “None in the world.” At this point, Kissinger was quoted as saying “What the hell do they think they are accomplishing?” Kissinger went on: “You can’t even tell bastards anything in confidence because they’ll leak it.”

But Kissinger said he would take up the issue with Soviet Ambassador Anatoly Dobrynin and also meet again with Jewish leaders. “They ought to remember what this administration has done,” he said.

The remarks were contained in documents dealing with U.S.-Soviet relations released by the State Department.

A call to Kissinger’s New York office seeking comment was not immediately returned late Thursday.

This isn't the first time a prominent Republican figure (or one who worked for the Republican base) has said something rude about the Jewish Nation!

But somehow... it's the Liberals & the Democrats that don't support Israel, or don't like the Jewish people??

Kissinger married a gentile on Shabbas, using the Kings James Bible, in a church ceremony. Also, his philosophy was "to let the Israelis bleed", by delaying in sending them help during the Yom Kippur War. Yet, in spite of this, certain organizations such as Israel Bonds, will pay him big bucks to him, to be their main speaker at fundraising events. Golda Meir had him pegged correctly, when he visited EY. She stated "Oh, I see that you kiss women, also". It was a snide reference to Kissinger literally kissing every Arab leader, whom he met.

Nov 17, 2011 at 09:41 PM Upset Says:

As most politicians, Kisenger was only concerned with his place in history. He was a traitor to his people and he desired to be loved by the gentiles rather than to do the right thing. He is a national disgrace. It was Kisenger who gave the Arabs the advice to raise their oil prices when at hat time oil was very cheap.

If you would listen to Dr. Michael Savage you would know that Democrats and Republicans are all the same except for the R and the D after their names.
That being said the fact that a man in the R camp said something against Jewish people does somehow make the D camp any better. Demoncans, Republocrats all the same thing.

Who said 'F***** them' about Israel? Republican James Baker

Who laid a wreath at the Bitburg graves of SS volunteers? Republican

Who wants to end section 8, WIC, food stamps, Medicaid, etc to thousands of heimesh mishpachos? Republican

Who is the only serious candidate for president from a major party calling for an end to all aid to Israel? Republican Ron Paul

Which part welcomes and almost nominated the holocaust denying anti-Semite Pat Buchanan? Republican Party

Who sold AWACs to Saudi Arabia? Republican

Who pardoned the guys from NS? Democrat

Who refused to free Pollard? Three Republicans and two Democrats

Face it. They are two sides of the same coin. Both pander for our votes, neither can be trusted.

I like the names you got going there! (lol)

All due respect however... Michael "Savage" lives up to his name, and I really have no desire to make time for someone who's always so angry, always so hateful & always so one-sided on the issues.

He once called Autistic kids "Brats that just need a good spanking" & etc. It was awful! And as the mother of an Autistic child, I was FLOORED that thousands of conservatives whom *also* have kids w\special needs, didn't boycott his show for that!

Nope! Everyone makes excuses for the "Conservative" talk show hosts, no matter HOW hateful those people get!

I don't listen to Left-wing "entertainers" either to be frank! I'd much rather put on a lecture from my favorite Rabbi, learn Mussar, study, & occasionally watch as reputable news as I can find.... as opposed to listening to such hate (or in Glenn Beck's case: Apocalyptic nonsense 24-7), on the radio & elsewhere.

Don't get me wrong... I like to be informed on the issues!

Just not from people so one-sided. *shrug*

Getting back to Kissinger however... I cannot believe he called his own people "self-serving" & etc. It's a real shame.

As the mother of an autistic child YOU should be one of his most ardent defenders. Let me explain
His quote was
"In 99% of the cases, it's a brat who hasn't been told to cut the act out. That's what autism is. What do you mean they scream and they're silent?"
Now obviously any normal person can tell you that he wasn't saying this based on any scientific data (because there is obviously no scientific data that says 99% of it fake)
Any thinking person can tell you that people use expressions exaggerations hyperbole and other figurative languages when making a point (And no I'm not saying he was using the typical politician's defense of "I was just joking") If a person says expressions like "this bag weighs a ton" that doesn't mean the bag actually weighed a ton
Let me explain why you of all people should defend him. Imagine an older man draws 1000's daily to his audience to listen to his Holocaust experiences. Imagine that it comes out that this man is a fraud and he never went through the Holocaust. Wouldn't the ACTUAL Holocaust survivors of all people be the most offended with this man? Shouldnt the actual autistic relatives be the most offended by the fakers as well?

As someone who listens to Savage on a regular basis (every day including Friday night's show on the internet after Shabbos) I can tell you that he is certainly not one sided and he attacks both the democrats and republicans equally. And as much an Obama hater as he is, he is open minded enough to praise him where praise is due, and defend him when he thinks he's right. (One recent example is when Osama was killed, he spent much of his shows afterwards praising Obama and attacking Bush that he couldn't get it done. - and there are other examples) There was a point when he even praised Jerry Brown, the exGoverner of California - an avowed Liberal and staunch member of the Democratic party.
Yes he's always angry. As am I at the direction this country is heading. And yes he has a huge ego. You need one in order to survive on talk radio. (Rush has an even bigger ego than Savage) Savage always disassociates himself from "conservative" talk show hosts who in my opinion are just paid off talking heads from the Republican Party. Savage considers himself an Independent Conservative.

The fakers that he's referring to are not the children. They are the parents. These "99%" (exaggeration) are kids that have severe antisocial behavior, kids that act up to the extreme, kids that are extra violent in school, etc. (I'm talking about extreme cases of these things, not normal misbehavior). These parents just have the kid labeled autistic to give an excuse for their poor non existing parenting. Everything is hidden behind a label - ADD ADHD Autism.. etc.
I'm sure that in a fine family with stable parent/s where a kid is autistic - I'm sure that that is the real thing, and I truly sympathize with those parent/s.

However, when you have a parent/s that are never home, that go partying after work, that drink, that ignore their kids, that are more interested in the TV than their child's well being and then they wonder why there kid has "autistic symptoms" and the school nurse who's fed up with the kid tells the parent that your kid must be autistic just give him these pills and all will be good - those are the fakers. Now obviously it's not 99% but a good deal are such cases. I live near a public school, and I see how some parents deal with their kids.

Is your nastiness due to you incredible ignorance or your extreme stupidity?

The symptoms you describe would not lead to a diagnosis of autism nor would any of the home conditions you describe contribute to the development of autism.

"The symptoms you describe would not lead to a diagnosis of autism nor would any of the home conditions you describe contribute to the development of autism."

100% correct. No COMPETENT HONEST DOCTOR would diagnose such symptoms with ANY disease or condition. Any honest doctor would recognize such cases as cases of bad parenting. It's the dishonest doctors- the ones that get illegal kickbacks from pharmaceutical companies for prescribing certain drugs, it's the dishonest school nurses that are pressured by these parents that want the easy way out - a label as an excuse for their child's misbehavior.

Yes there are true cases of autism, and like DrMSPhD commented - he sympathizes with those kids and their families. (nastiness?!?!)
However, denying the fact that there are kids out there that were misdiagnosed - whether on purpose or by mistake is being very naive.

Sorry, my friend, but you obviously know less than nothing about autism.

Bli ayin harah, I haven't had to deal with an autistic child of my own but I have friends who have not been as fortunate, and I can assure you that misbehavior and autism look nothing alike.
To claim that doctors routinely misdiagnosed anti-social behavior as autism is ridiculous.

The point is that someone with zero training or experience wrote that most cases of autism are fakes and just a way to hide the bad parenting skills that caused the autism. How much more heartless and nasty can a person be? Can you imagine the pain felt by the parents of autistic children experience when they read stupidity like that? Don't you think it makes them wonder how many other morons are running around sharing their idiotic ideas and how many people they encounter every day who therefore see them as failed parents who brought autism onto their own children?

Polite debate should be reserved for opinions based on fact and the interpretation of facts, not for responses to uneducated nasty know-nothings spewing blame and stupidity.
