Jerusalem - Israel’s defense minister warns that a nuclear-armed Iran will become inevitable in less than a year.

Ehud Barak told CNN in an interview aired Sunday he believes that Iran is widening its nuclear program, and it will become impossible to stop it in “two quarter(s) or three quarter(s)” of a year.

He did not say when he expects Iran to actually possess nuclear weapons.

The International Atomic Energy Agency issued a report this month citing new evidence that Iran is building nuclear warheads.

Israel considers Iran its most dangerous enemy, partly because of its nuclear program.

Barak refused to say whether Israel was planning a military strike on Iran. He said Israel is keeping all options open, and he expects the rest of the international community to do the same.

#1. This is not a video game. While there may be no choice but to bomb Iran, there is no guarantee of success. The element of surprise is certainly gone. It is likely that the entire region will be thrust into a war against Israel. Furthermore, there is always the possibility that a world war could result as well. The is no clear solution to any of this.

#5. That couldn't be further from the truth. However, as we know it strategy is part of preparing for war and so are the consequences. (Go study the story of Yaacov prepares for Esav and takes into consideration potential casualties). The point is that #1 made it seem all too simple. There may be no choice but to bomb Iran. However, don't expect it to be as clean as bombing Iraq.

My point is you can't just make things so simplistic.
