Iowa – Santorum: Israeli West Bank Settlements Same As US Getting New Mexico And Texas In War

“All the people who live in the West Bank are Israelis, they’re not Palestinians,” the former Pennsylvania Senator told a participant at an Iowa campaign event.

During an exchange with the participant over the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, Santorum offered New Mexico and Texas as comparison points for the West Bank, noting that they were all won in wars.

Santorum also declared all Iranian nuclear scientists as enemy combatants. “Nuclear scientists who work on this program, particularly if they come from foreign countries into that, they will be seen as enemy combatants. They will be people who are threats to the United States just like your garden variety terrorist,” he said.

Santorum has raised eyebrows in the past for his outspoken, sometimes over-the-top support of Israel and hawkishness on its enemy Iran. In a November 10 speech, he said of the Islamic Republic that, “A country that is developing a weapon of mass destruction to use it or destroy another country must be stopped in a preemptive strike.”

In the most recent Gallup Poll, Santorum came near the bottom of the pack in Republican primaries, eking in at only 2 percent. Santorum lost his 2006 Senate reelection bid.

I don’t think he has a chance of winning but I hope his views start catching on with the other candidates

Why are there so many hillbilly redneck frummelach who replace Daas Torah with the rhetoric of fly-by-night politicians who seek votes??

Great. If the people in the West Bank are all “Israelis” then they have to be allowed to vote. Fantastic.

The guy is mamash an idiot and deserves to be ignored as he has in all the polls thusfar. Even among a field of clowns, who take turns taking the lead in the polls, this is the little clown that couldn’t and he has never received more than 3 or 4 percent support.

In recent years, thousands of Arabs living in the West Bank, have been permitted to join their relatives in EY proper. Once they settle in the various Arab villages in EY, they are entitled to increased welfare payments, depending upon the size of their family. In fact, there is a waiting list of thousands of Arabs, who wish to enter EY to join their families, and avail themselves to increased subsidies. Whereas they may hate EY and Yidden, they gratefully accept the welfare benefits, courtesy of the Israeli taxpayers.

Are you comparing some politician to the daas Torah of our chachamim??! Lehavdil elef alfei havdalos. We should be spending more time talking about them than about politicians. But since we are talking about politicians right now, all I can say is GO RON PAUL GO!

The analogy might be a fair one if the Mexicans living in Texas didn’t have the same rights and privileges (like voting etc..) as the white population.
Or if the Palestinians were living with the same rights as the Israelis.
Without getting into politics…from a purely logical view of the comparison..it’s a non starter.
The truth is..that there is a de facto occupation of a population..(if not of land).
Without getting into the wrongs and rights of it.

he means well but he is not correct, he errs in the fact that we gained back what was rightfully our from before, now IF the American Indians made war on the USA and took back their lands that would be more accurate
