Some 5,000 people joined the rally, called to promote the “battle against Jerusalem’s Judaization.” The event coincided with the anniversary of the United Nation’s partition plan in 1947, which called for the establishment of a Jewish state.

Spiritual leader Dr. Ahmed al-Tayeb charged in his speech that to this day Jews everywhere in the world are seeking to prevent Islamic and Egyptian unity.

“In order to build Egypt, we must be one. Politics is insufficient. Faith in Allah is the basis for everything,” he said. “The al-Aqsa Mosque is currently under an offensive by the Jews…we shall not allow the Zionists to Judaize al-Quds (Jerusalem.) We are telling Israel and Europe that we shall not allow even one stone to be moved there.”

Meanwhile, businessmen in the crowd were urged to invest funds in Jerusalem in order to prevent the acquisition of land and homes by Jews.

Speaking to Ynet outside the mosque following the prayer, elementary school teacher Ala al-Din said that “all Egyptian Muslims are willing to embark on Jihad for the sake of Palestine.”

“Why is the US losing in Afghanistan? Because the other side is willing and wants to die. We have a different mentality than that of the Americans and Jews,” he said.

Thanks to Obama that threw Mubarak under the bus, the way Peanut Farmer Jimmy Carter threw the Shah of Iran under the bus.

The mohammed brotherhood is building its reputation as a builder of indignity and a sword of slavery to its own self.

To #7 - I think that you have your President’s mixed up. How could Nixon have ordered anything regarding Calley, when he was out of office, by the time Carter served? However, I agree that Lt. Calley was a war criminal, who massacred defenseless men, women, and children, and essentially got away with it.

The younger Egyptian crowd doesn’t seem to be as obsessed w\Islam as some of the older radicals. Problem is…. some of these older radicals have a LOT of influence! And if things aren’t going well in Egypt anyway, a situation like that can make it easier to blame anyone but themselves- especially the Jews.

I just hope that the younger crowd, who is more internet friendly & is more secular & wants a Democratic government, ran by it’s own people, etc… will stay the course & fight for what matters in life, instead of listening to the more radical crowd that just wants to blame everything on the Jews all the time!

When Mubarak fell, that gave me a lot of hope that Egypt could one day actually be a REAL ally of Israel’s… instead of just one down on paper. I invisioned that the youth of Israel & the youth of Egypt could set up a new movement of REAL peace & tolerance.

But as things get heated up in Egypt… everyone is looking for someone to blame! I’m gonna pray that things don’t go really sour there, which could make for a huge problem for my Jewish brothers & sisters (in spirit) everywhere!

G-d bless you all… and stay safe!
