Jerusalem - A Palestinian prisoner released by Israel on Sunday as part of a swap for a captive soldier said the influential rabbi Rabbi Ovadia Yosef he was jailed for plotting to assassinate deserves to die.

Salah Hamouri, 26, was one of 550 prisoners freed on Sunday to complete a deal in which Israel released 1,027 prisoners for soldier Gilad Schalit, who was held captive in the Gaza Strip for over five years.

Many of the 450 prisoners freed on Oct. 18 under the Egyptian-brokered swap for the soldier had been serving life sentences for deadly attacks.

None of those freed in the second stage, on Sunday, had been convicted of perpetrating any killings, though some such as Hamouri were involved in plotting violence, or involvement in non-lethal attacks.

Maybe a little 'accident' for Mr. Haouri on the way home might be in order?

Quick all anti-Zionists. Write in show your support for your compatriot. Why wait for Iran to again question the shoah before you get involved.

The reason I am an anti-Zionist is precisely because the medine allows animals like that on the loose and endangers Jews by doing so.

For some reason I believe that you would be anti-zionist even if this swap would never have happened.....

You make a pretty good point actually!

I sometimes wonder if the Israeli gov't did a worse job hurting their own citizens, than any arab faction ever could! Listen to this crazy guy?!?! And he was released from prison?!?! Along w\hundreds of others?!

I wonder how Schalit feels about the swap? Does anybody know?

I mean, we know he's relieved to be out of captivity, of course! But once he found out just how many prisoners of the Hamas & Hezbollah had to be released in order to secure his freedom... I wonder if it has taken a mental toll on him??

Not that it's his fault, and G-d forbid anyone should say that! But wow!

Over 1,000 of the worst terrorists in current history OUT FREE?! For one person?! It's the craziest swap I ever heard in my life! (:-o

Thank G-d Schalit is at home w\his family for the holidays... there were so many he had to spend in a prison cell after all. I'm grateful he is back & safe. His family must be overjoyed! Through the moon!

But reading this sicko's words, about how Rabbi Yosef STILL deserves to die (all we know, he's planning to kill him again!)... I have to wonder how many others will be injured or killed c'v' by madmen like this!

You are anti Zionist because the medina allows animals like that on the loose? I certainly understand that you might be for or against the present Israeli government, but following you logic about being against the medina just doesn't make sense.

In this case, i absolutely believe that he should now be immeadiately re-arrested and jailed, as he is threatening what he already attempted to do in the past (if this is what he has now done, although one has to study exactly his words).
He was released. But that should not give him immunity to now be free, more than another person would be in this situation. (ie threatening a thing you have already attempted to actually carry out in practice, and can and will).

What a no-brainer of a question!! lol :-D

I should imagine that Gilad Schalit is just mighty happy to be free and alive. Why do you ask such a question?
