Washington – Former Aide: Ron Paul Not An Anti-Semite But Wishes Israel Didn’t Exist

In a blog posted in Rightwing News Ron posted the below:

Is Ron Paul an Anti-Semite? Absolutely No. As a Jew, (half on my mother’s side), I can categorically say that I never heard anything out of his mouth, in hundreds of speeches I listened too over the years, or in my personal presence that could be called, “Anti-Semite.” No slurs. No derogatory remarks.

He is however, most certainly Anti-Israel, and Anti-Israeli in general. He wishes the Israeli state did not exist at all. He expressed this to me numerous times in our private conversations. His view is that Israel is more trouble than it is worth, specifically to the America taxpayer. He sides with the Palestinians, and supports their calls for the abolishment of the Jewish state, and the return of Israel, all of it, to the Arabs.

Again, American Jews, Ron Paul has no problem with. In fact, there were a few Jews in our congressional district, and Ron befriended them with the specific intent of winning their support for our campaign. (One synagogue in Victoria, and tiny one in Wharton headed by a well-known Jewish lawyer).

On the incident that’s being talked about in some blog media about the campaign manager directing me to a press conference of our opponent Lefty Morris in Victoria to push back on Anti-Jewish charges from the Morris campaign, yes, that did happen. The Victoria Advocate described the press conference very accurately. Yes, I was asked (not forced), to attend the conference dressed in a Jewish yarlmuke, and other Jewish adornments.

There was another incident when Ron finally agreed to a meeting with Houston Jewish Young Republicans at the Freeport office. He berated them, and even shouted at one point, over their un-flinching support for Israel. So, much so, that the 6 of them walked out of the office. I was left chasing them down the hallway apologizing for my boss.

This is soooo not the 1st time racially tinged stuff has came out of this guy’s mouth!

I can’t say for certain that he’s a total anti-semite. After all, JUST because he doesn’t feel the Jews should have started a state & put all those Muslims into an “occupation” (not my choice of wording)… doesn’t necessarily means he HATES all Jews.

But, having said that: there is just way too much racial stuff going on w\this guy that leads me to believe he is of an age that is probably NOT appropriate to be running this country!

And it’s not just his age (he’s only 6 or 7 yrs older than John McCain I think), but unlike McCain & some other older politicians who have left whatever bigotries they might have had in the past…

Paul seems to still be hanging on to that old-school-Texan-segregationalist mentality that: the races shouldn’t mix, Jews shouldn’t always get what they want, all black folks are worthless & robbers, etc., and who wants a President who hasn’t shed this kind of nonsense from himself?!

For goodness sakes, he was AGAINST the civil-rights act! And his reasoning for WHY, is a joke!

    Ugh… Obama 2012! (lol)

I mean enough is enough w\these crazy right-wing nutcases!

I don’t believe the story that he had no advance knowledge of the writings of Nazis in his newsletter during the 1990’s. He had to know what was appearing in his newsletter. If he disavowed their views, why did he still permit it to be printed?

He may not be the most pragmatic politician, but at least he shows that he can think clearly and independently.

Him being “Anti-Israel” goes in line with about 40% of American Jews who support J-Street cause.

Is this enough for the frum Paultards (otherwise known as Romulans) to make them steer clear of Crazy Uncle Ron?

Stop defending this crank, already. He’s a racist nutcase, and I could bring much more proof.

If he wants to see Israel the only safe haven & historic homeland for the Jewish people as a nation, go away, because he thinks its too much trouble, then he is most certainly a huge danger to the Jewish people as a whole, and should never be given a chance at gaining power. I would compare him to the biggest enemies the Jewish people have ever had, even if he tries to whitewash how he expresses his wish.

    Calm down everybody.

Ron Paul is 76 years old: that makes him even older than Ronald Reagan when the latter was running for his second term.

Secondly, by openly and freely stating that he is not “an anti-Semite but [he] wishes Israel didn’t exist” is akin to remarking that “some of my best friends are Jewish”.

    He’s dead in the water.

Saying that Israel has no right to exist, yet claiming not to be an Anti-Semite, is the same as proclaiming that Ron Paul is a vegetarian yet he does eat meat!

The author of this article Eric Dondero needs a reality check. Says he is half Jewish…well if I understand correctly that his mother is Jewish then he is Jewish (like it or not). Ron Paul is so far way out there that the author can not defend Paul’s insanity without making himself appear to be foolish.
How any Jew can defend Paul is beyond my understanding. Those who do are either totally misguided or need to hitch their wagon to a politician with the hope of him being taken seriously enough by the media to get attention and thus have a job. Shame on both of them. Those who choose to separate Israel and it’s survival and the survival of Jews here in the USA and for that matter anywhere are in need of a reality check also.

Thank you Ron Paul for showing the true color of the Republican Party. Where is Gingrich,Romney to condemn him? I sure hope Obama will come up to defend Israel like many times before.

Right now, since he’s running for president (joke) he’s just showing some of his true colors. Just imagine once he gets elected how he’s going to act towards Israel and Jews in general. I don’t care what anyone says, if he hates Israel with such a passion, he’s a through and through anti-semite.

Only antisemites support Israel – more Jews die in Israel than anywhere in the world. The pro-Israel gentiles are antisemites because they want to get rid of all of their Jewish neighbors and “send them back home”, like racists wanted to send all the blacks back to Africa.

I am as concerned about what comes out Ron Paul as anyone but because a disgruntled employee claims it to be so doesn’t make it such. Reality check people, get multiple sources. If it is true it is too bad for America because on economic issues Ron Paul is the ONLY candidate who sees our financial problems correctly.

Ron Paul is the frontrunner Republican candidat in the First Republican contest in Iowa. Leading Romney by 2 points and Gingrich by 8 points. You will have to decide to vote Republican Ron Paul party or Democrat, the party of Dov Hikind, Sheldon Silver and every frum elected yid in USA history.

I would be shocked if Ron Paul gets the nomination. In a typical year, the race might be over after Iowa and New Hampshire, but this year, there have been many front runners (remember Bachmann and Cain?). The only question in my mind is whether the Republicans have the sense to nominate someone who’s electable. Given the dominance of the right wing, I have my doubts.

I have many concerns about Ron Paul, but this piece of propaganda is beneath a reputable news site to publish. If you utilize google, you will learn that “Mr. Dondero” hides behind a fake name and his real name is Mr. Rittberg. More importantly, “Mr. Dondero” ran against Ron Paul after Ron Paul fired him, so for VIN not to disclose that he is a former opponent of Paul and rather points out that he is a former aide, is grossly dishonest.

Ron Paul’s slogan seems to be “Give me Liberty or give me a poptart”.
