Los Angeles, CA – The first class cabin of Qantas’s A380 super-jumbos looks astonishingly like the U.S.S. Enterprise in Star Trek – although you’ll have to settle for earthly routes such as London to Sydney and Sydney to Los Angeles.

The plane has been flying for THREE years already. Whats the chiddush here?
The Msiles Yeshurim says that this world is only like a Proizdor which means a furtzimmer to the other world , and Al Aachas Kaamu Vkaamu a plane flight for a few hours , so who cares!
If I could fford it I’d love to fly first class!
Most of us are not allowed to fly first class unless a client agrees in advance and most prefer we fly business class, even on overseas flights so this is an interesting development but not somthing we can use too frequently. Fortunately, the business class seats and meals have also improved substantially over the past several years on the foreign airlines many of use such as Singapore Air, Al Nippon, British Air, United and Lufthansa. All provide a very relaxing flight. Unfortunately, El Al is not at the top ranking of flight comforts and amenities.
Its worth getting bumped to first class on such a plane !
I’d trade all that luxury for a plane that can go from NYC to Israel in 5 hours instead of 9-10.
Beats being wedged in a tiny seat on a 12 hour flight to Israel. Last time I ended up with a black and blue mark on my ribs from the arm rest.
Aliyah laregel in style
Will the actual flight feel better, take off and landing? Because for me flying is a night mare and if this will be a solution than I guess will pay to spend on it
It was great, My inlaws got me and the mrs. tickets for first class. Although it did take me away from the kollel
I drink a 30$ bottle of alcohol in economy, and have the same luxuries for a fraction of the price.
Now, all they need to do is make sure the engines do not fall apart amid flight…
If such accommodations were available on ElAl and it encouraged Yidden of means to travel to Eretz Yisroel, have their neshamas touched by the kedusha around them, and help support Torahdig mosdos, then this would serve a beautiful purpose in the world.
To #14 - You don’t know what you are talking about. If a person flies first class, and order kosher food, they can receive kosher food in first class. I never heard of any airline policy to the contrary.
Dear Darth Zeidah- Why do you assume that only you have a monopoly on flying first class, and not other passengers? I have flown first class in the past. Incidentally, apropos to your directions upon boarding an aircraft, going to the right does not necessarily mean non-first class. It depends upon the configuration of the particular aircraft, and the manner in which it is boarded. Incidentally, I can’t tell you how impressed I was by your jet setting accomplishments, around the globe. Mazel Tov!
To #24 - I was wondering why you are so sarcastic to the anonymous respondent? Couldn’t you have addressed his question, in a more dignified manner? Also, since you seem to enjoy flying first class, to numerous destinations around the globe, why is it that you never considered chartering a private jet for your travels?
