EPA/MATT CAMPBELLConcord, NH - While the candidates were the main attraction, part of the allure of the New Hampshire Primary is always the sideshow that develops, particulary where five or more candidates are gathered.
Aside from diehard supporters of every candidate, factions representing various local and national unions were out in force, waving signs and chanting for their causes, including the Manchester Newspaper Guild, who are asking their employer event sponsor the New Hampshire Union Leader, to negotiate a fair contract.
Across the street a group of about 30 orthodox Jews, members of Neturei Karta, who traveled from New York, stood side-by-side holding banners urging the presidential candidates to support the Palestinian people by rejecting support for Israel as an independent state.

I'm wondering if they also hugged him and kissed him as they did when they met (several times), with Ahmadinejad, when he came to NYC. When they met with the Iranian President, they spoke Yiddish to him. What is the picture implying, that the Neturei Karta endorsed Ron Paul? Do you think Ron Paul makes a distinction between these Jews and other Jews? If he were smart he would, but don't count on it. Just because he is shaking their hand doesn't mean he supports what they are about or that he even knows what they are about, he is just being polite as it is in the best interest of candidates to be friendly to people that come out to hear them speak so I would not draw any conclusions from this about Ron Paul. However, from what the Neturei Karta are saying I would draw the conclusion that they are anti the State of Israel. I don't think it serves the Jewish people well to have some of our members be against the State of Israel like this. If you have a legitimate complaint about the State, then you may state it on the issues. But to call them evil, and whatever else they call the leaders of the State, for them it is personal and not merely a political expression of opposition. You might be right about that! I was listening to a lecture just the other day, where the Rabbi said that a righteous gentile such as myself, will have a greater chance of being able to be a part of Israel (after the Moshiach comes) and to help be of service to the Jews & to G-d's kingdom... than the Jews who routinely forgot about their covenant w\HaShem!
Breaking Shabbat, dating & marrying outside of their faith & all that brings w\it, not helping their fellow Yidden out in times of crisis, etc. From what I heard, I've got an easier chance to "make it" than these folks!
But, it's one of the reasons I'm such a supporter of Rabbi Mizrachi & others who work so tirelessly to get the secular Jews to become more religious & observant.
I don't want to see ANY Jewish friend left behind! Nor any of my gentile friends either! So I teach THEM about the Noahide Laws & about the Idolatry of Christianity too! I started a women's group not long ago actually, just for this very reason! :-)
We all gotta do our part!
