Jerusalem - A well known Rosh Yeshiva who is also a popular figure in the Sephardi kiruv world had nothing but contempt and scorn for Charedi Israeli extremists.

Rabbi Rafael Zar, Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshiva Ohr Dor – Ohr Yehuda, a noted baal mussar and considered by some as a spiritual leader, had strong words for those who resort to extreme measures, in the name of tznius.

“They are the worst kind of evildoers, far worse than the most secular individual,” said Rabbi Zar.  “If I could I would break their arms and legs.  This is not just my opinion, it is the opinion of Chazal.  They would catch them, give them lashes and break their bones for their appalling behavior.

Spitting on women?  I am appalled by this and any true Ben Torah feels the same way about this garbage.  The people who do this are nothing more than garbage and they bring a foul stench to the scent of Torah in this world.  It is repulsive.  To spit on a Jewish Girl? Who do you think you are?

Anyone whose middos are so corrupt, is not a Jew in my eyes.  He is an animal.”

“Someone who commits a Chilul Hashem like this does not deserve to have a beard.  It is an embarrassment.  According to the Holy Tazdik Baba Sali Zt’l there are Jews that when they will go to gehenim, the fire will start from their beard, because they don’t deserve to have a beard.”

Rabbi Zar further continued to lambast those have created the furor over segregation in Israel, saying that those who refuse to sit next to a woman on a bus should get off the bus and take a different bus with fewer women because a true yarei shomayim would not raise a commotion over an issue like this.

He also added that he suspects that many of those who pretend to be overly pious in public are probably guilty of transgressing the gravest sins that can be committed by a Jew in private.

Hey # 16. Not sure what Torah you're talking about that stayed with them. But if it's the 5 books of Moses they are definitely not following it. If it's another torah then they are apikorsim so please bring proofs with your own personal sikrikim views that they are specifically following Toras Hashem

FYI the charedim of yerushalayim of hundreds of years were probably of Rabbi Zar ancestry than of sikriki burnt out punks coming from anti semitic Europe who learned from their european hosts of France, germany, and england how to treat their jewish guests. Trust me they might learn Torah but they do not follow it. It is their sam hamavet to stone Rav Elyashiv, knuckle punch Rav Shteinman. Their so called leaders that ignore their actions will be punished as if they did it as chazal say in the posuk hocheach tochiach. Whether they to be authors of great seforim or roshei yeshivas. Those leaders of meah shearim who are not speaking as Rabbi Zar is to stop this chillul hashem shows how much they love Hashem

Spitting and yelling at women is not tzniut.
If you want to serve Hashem, go learn and work to support your family and others who need it.
Next time you see a lady or girl, instead of inspecting her clothes ,maybe see if you can help her cope with the baby carriage or her peklach, unless of course you think her status is lower than your enemy's donkey (Shmot 23/5)
In that case please provide chapter and verse to substantiate your position.

"spitting and yelling at women is not tzniut". That's a great point. Well said!

Allow me to add:
The purpose of tznius is to raise man above the level of animals. It is utterly absurd, therefore, to use animalistic behavior to enforce tznius.

Hello wake up the Torah disagrees with them. Chazal disagree with them. What makes them a gadol if not the Torah they disagree with or Chazal they do not heed. I cannot discredit a gadol. However the Torah will discredit them. There is but one Torah. There are sections in our holy Torah about monetary damage or physical damage that they believe do not apply. Why are they any different than a jew who doesn't keep shabbos on purpose in public. nothing.

Say to yourself what would Moshe Rabeinu do if he was here. if he were a sikriki leader. would he ignore as his students terrorize the town. Get real

Let's say (just to make you happy) that Naama Margolese was not spat upon; that she or her mother or the media made up the story. So what? Does that make everything go away? There was a constant campaign of harassment against little yidishe girls every day for three months. The videos are available on the web. On a regular basis, the anti-Torah lunatics were hurling obscene insults (whore, slut), throwing things, and spitting at 8 year old girls. Can you imagine any human being doing such things, let alone adult men who claim to be frum?

And yet you defend them! You say that "they have a right to protest like anyone else." Do you know the difference between protesting and harassing? Aren't you utterly shocked and ashamed that adult men could even think of abusing little girls and making them cry. What kind of animals are they?

As R' Zar said in his deroshoh: "THEY ARE ANIMALS!"

The difference is very clear. Almost every Rabbi in the religious zionist mold came out against the action loud and clear. Proudof not having a beard? As I recall my Tanach, shaving off a beard s an insult. Moreover, presuming you use a shaver, could you please tell me which posek you rely on to do this - who is great eneough to rule against the Chazon Ish et al who forbid using them?

R' Moshe Feinstein.

This person is a rabbi for the devil (satan). A person that can say only bad things and not one good word about another fellow Jew is exactly what the satan is doing.

The Satmar Rebbe zt"l once said a day that he is not vilified in the Zionist media and their religious U.S colleagues means he did not speak up enough for kovod shamiyaim (opposing Zionisim)

The spiting on the girl story is a P.R campaign by the M.O against the eirliche yiden who protest against the deliberate provocations of the M.O who want to show the Chasidim that they will not makel Bait Shemesh in to another Meah shuirm "the M.O bear the responsibility for this chille Hashem “.

The Vodislaver Rav zt"l (a razor sharp gaon who was a member of the rabbinical board of the Agudah prior to ww2 and after, until it became a pro Zionist political organization). Once said at a protest against police brutality in Israel, that there is Ahavas Yisroel and then there is Ahavas Poshiy Yisroel those that have extreme Ahavas Poshiy Yisroel are usually Soni Yisrael/Eirlche Yiden/Charidem. This speech and the others like his and most of the comments on this site regarding this issue have proven how right he was.

Rabbi Rafael Zar shlita “relax” the Israeli police are doing to the charidim across Israel what you would so love to do them.

To repeat myself, no evedence has beign brought on the spitting, listen again carefully to the 1st interview with the mother and daughter, listen good to the GIRLS WORDS you'll be suprised, nothing mentioned of spitting, just scared to go on street because the sekrukim are screaming!!, they have a right to protest as everyone has, the mother made up the rest, and the media blew it up, BE REALISTIC!

You are wrong. There is lots of evidence of spitting. I know this for a fact, as my niece goes to the school and has been spat upon. As has her mother, my sister. My sister has been pushed, her seventy-five year old neighbor (grandfather of a student) has been pushed down and had his camera stolen. I have been following what's going on at the school since September, all from firsthand accounts, and I assure you, it's not an exageration.
My sister is spit upon regularly in certain areas of Beit Shemesh despite three quarter sleeves, long skirt, and fully covering her hair.
What's not being reported is that all this has nothing to do with tznius. The fight was over the building, which they want, and they are using tznius as an excuse. Whatever the reason, their actions are disgusting and anti-Torah.
#42 -- you might not like it, but it's true.
