Monroe, NY - The state Labor Department is investigating an allegation that the Village of Kiryas Joel broke the law by failing to withhold taxes from a village street sweeper's wages.
"We do have a complaint on file. It is an ongoing investigation. I don't have any further information," said Labor Department spokeswoman Jean Genovese.
