Two children walk past wall paintings of Nelson Mandela in Soweto, Johannesburg, South Africa, 11 December 2012. Tests conducted on former South African president Nelson Mandela in recent days determined he has a lung infection, the presidency announced on 11 December. Mandela, 94, was admitted to a hospital in Pretoria on 08 December after being moved from his rural hometown of Qunu, in the Eastern Cape province, where he has been living in recent years. Though he is said to be in good spirits, he is apparently suffering from memory loss and general weakness.
