PHILIPPINES U.S. TALKS PROTEST

Reports state that the militant group Bayan Muna brought attention to the PH-US defense talks with a protest rally against US intervention. The group believes that the bilateral talks between the two countries amid the on-going diplomatic spat with China may expand US interference in the Philippines and worsen the stand-off issue. US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Defense Secretary Leon Panetta will discuss these matters with their Philippine counterparts in Washington DC.
