CZECH REPUBLIC JEWISH PROTEST

The proposed new shopping mall area was once the deportation point for thousands of Czech Jews to the Theresienstadt concentration camp - a Nazi German ghetto established by the Gestapo in the fortress and garrison city of Terezin. Members of Czech Jewish community are calling for a Halocaust memorial to be built in the area.
