Protesters stage a demonstration exposing Barclays banks role in fuelling global hunger by betting on food prices outside the Barclays Annual General Meeting, AGM, in central London, Britain, 27 April 2012. The World Development Movement estimates that Barclays made up to 200 million euros from speculating on food in 2011. Barclays is facing a possible revolt by its shareholders who are aggrieved at the pay of its top executives. Barclays chief executive Bob Diamond was paid a 3 million euro bonus for 2011.
