GREECE PROTEST TEENAGER SHOOTING ANNIVERSARY

Location: ATHENS, GREECE
December 6, 2012

Riot policemen try to avoid Molotov cocktails during clashes with students that broke after a protest commemorating the deadly shooting of a teenager in Athens, Greece, 06 December 2012. Greek riot police clashed with hundreds of youths, who hurled firebombs and chunks of marble, during a demonstration to mark the fourth anniversary of the killing of a teenager by a police officer. The murder of then 15-year-old Alexis Grigoropoulos in 2008 triggered some of the worst rioting ever seen in Greece that lasted more than two weeks. The policeman later was sentenced to life for the shooting in 2010.
