Officers of the Italian Carabinieri (military police) investigate the site where Roberto Adinolfi, chief executive of Ansaldo Nucleare, was shot in Genoa, Italy, 07 May 2012. The chief executive of a state-controlled nuclear company in Italy was shot on 07 May and wounded outside his home in Genoa by an unidentified gunman, according to the daily Corriere della Sera. Roberto Adinolfi, 59, was being treated in hospital for ‘serious wounds’ to one of his legs, doctors at Genoa’s San Martino hospital, told the paper. The gunman, who was wearing a motorcycle helmet, accosted Adinolfi and opened fire before fleeing with an accomplice on a motorcycle.
